"I don't care, actually. Both sound great to me," She smiled and walked over to pet the dog. "He's adorable. Sorry. I tend to change the subject a lot."
I just want fluff right now (O/O)
"I know right." Lexi agreed, smiling at the puppy who was trying to crawl up onto her shoulder. "We can do the movie." Lexi replied, winking at Holly before letting the puppy go.
"Alright cool," Hazel replied, crouching down to pet the calico. "What type of food do you like? I can make something for us to eat." She suggested
"Anything really, except kale. That stuff is the Devil's poison. I got the drinks covered though." She responded, going up to the front desk to adopt the puppy.
"Okay." Hazel grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. She scribbled her number on a corner, and ripped it off. "Here you go," she handed it to Lexi. "Text me the date."
"You got it." Lexi responded, putting the number in her phone and making sure to double save it. "I'll see you then?"
"Mm hmm. See ya!" She winked at the other and walked out towards the parking lot.
Time Skip!
Lexi was rushing to get everything ready for their date. She wanted it perfect with nothing missing or out of place. She spent the whole day cleaning which was a world record for her because usually she spent the day lounging and rolling over on her bed, flipping between the same four apps. She had texted Holly her address about thirty minutes ago and their date started in about ten so she made sure she had time.
Hazel had been stressing all day. She had no idea what to wear, what to bring, to wear makeup? Eventually she settled on a simple pasta dish. For clothes, she wore a soft V-neck sweater and a pair of khakis. Hazel put on some light makeup, and started towards her car. In almost no time, she was at Lexi's door.
Lexi heard the rapt knocking on her door and jumped over three chairs on the way to the door. She smelled her breath to make sure it was as mintiest as possible. She almost finished a container of Altoids and spearmint before the date. She moved her hair to her back and opened the door with a smile. "Hey!" She said as a greeting, letting her come in. Rolo, her puppy ran up to Holly and rubbed himself on her legs.
Hazel tucked the pasta underneath an arm. "Hey! How are you?" She asked Lexi, bending down to pet the puppy.
"I'm great thanks for asking." She answered, taking the pasta so she could hold Rolo. She directed her to her living room where Netflix was promptly waiting on the TV screen before getting plates that they could eat with. She opened a bottle of soda and poured them into two glasses, bringing the food and drinks to where they would be sitting.
"I'm glad you're doing well!" She carried the puppy with her. "Is there anything I can do to help? I hate feeling like others are doing all the work for anything…."
"No, it's fine. I actually like doing it." She replied, giving her her utensils. "You can choose what we watch."
"Alright, then…." She paused. "I really don't care what we watch. I wouldn't have a clue where to start, anyways" Hazel replied, taking the utensils.
"How about…" She trailed off, thinking about what to watch. She sat beside her after giving Rolo his food and answered. "Maze Runner?"
"Sure," She shrugged. "I hope you enjoy the food…."
"I'm sure I will." She said putting on the movie and leaning back onto the couch. She poked her fork in the food and took a bite. Her face showing a multitude of expressions, all good. "Oh my god, this is delicious!" She exclaimed towards Holly, looking in it to see what it was that made it taste so good.
"Thank you," She blushed. Hazel then took a bite, and sighed. "It's alright…. Could've used a bit more pepper."
"Well, I have some in my cupboard. I could give some to you, if you want?" She said in a questioning tone, hoping she wasn't overdoing it.
"No, it's fine." She smiled. "I am my own worst judge, after all!" She continued to eat.
"Okay." She noted the joke and kept it in her mind while eating and watching the movie. Rolo occasionally came up in between them and she subconsciously petted him while slowly inching closer to Holly.
She put her fork down and wiped her mouth. "So, what are some of your interests? Other than parties and cute lil' pups?"
Lexi chuckled and put her now finished plate down. "Uhh, well I like playing video games and sports. What about you?"
"Um…. I like taking walks and listening to music," Those were the only things she could think of at the moment. "Hey! Let's play a round of favourites!"
"What's that?" She asked, turning to look at Holly.
(Hey, so I might be making a new account. I'll PM you what it is, if you'd like. Can I still continue with the rp?)
"Okay, so if, like, I'd ask you a question like, 'what's your favourite colour?' and you'd respond, then ask me a question about my favourite whatever," Hazel explained. "Whaddaya think?"
(Of course)
"Oh." Lexi said, understanding how it worked. "Well, I might as well answer that. My favorite color is black. What's your favorite music genre?"
(Thanks)
"Um…" Hazel too a second to respond. "Emo or heavy metal, I guess!" She smiled. "What's your favourite type of jellyfish?"
"I don't think I have one. I also hate jellyfish actually, bad experience as a kid that involved lots of hospital trips." Lexi answered, knowing the answer straight off the bat. "What's you favorite candy?"
