"Fight the voice. I want nothing but to help you."
I'm Here // One-On-One // CLOSED
”She’s a LIAR! She abandoned you in those mountains, do you really think that she wants to help you?”
”Yes, because she’s your sister!”
Anah shivered. She was cold. Something was wrong.
"Please, Anah. You have to believe me. I'm your sister."
Anah shivered violently. “Elina, I-I’m cold.”
"You'd have to be. You're as cold as ice."
"I'm not supposed to feel it," she replied, teeth chattering.
"That would be like me saying I'm not supposed to feel pain because I have a healing factor."
Anah trembled. "That's not what I meant… I'm not supposed to feel it… like this. It's too cold. Everything is…"
"Fight it, Anah. You need to be fine."
"I can't be fine, I'm not fine!" Anah wailed.
"Right. And there's nothing she can do to help you."
"Then let me help you be fine."
"NO!"
Anah nodded stiffly.
"I know… I know I'm saying that I want to help you so much. And that, sometimes, if you say something so much you don't mean it. But it's true. I'm telling you the truth."
"No she's not, she's lying!"
"No, she's telling the truth! Trust her!"
"I know," Anah said. "I know it's true, and I trust you."
Elina stood up and held her hand out. "Take my hand and I'll know that you're telling the truth."
Anah gritted her teeth. Her face contorted in a struggle.
"Please. I trust you."
"She trusts you! Trust her! She's your sister!"
"You already trusted her once and look where that got you!"
Slowly, Anah raised her hand.
"NO!"
She retreated several inches…
"I won't do anything."
"She won't do anything to help, isn't that sad?"
"That's not what she meant! Don't listen!"
Anah reached forward and took her sister's hand.
Elina pulled Anah up and into a standing hug.
Anah wrapped her arms around her sister tightly. “I’m sorry,” she whispered.
"I am too. I am too," Elina whispered.
Anah could feel her body warming up. Her sister’s touch was healing her.
"Please, come back to me."
"No! What are you doing?"
"But what am I supposed to do?"
"All you have to do is accept my help."
"No, I mean, yes. But what am I supposed to do if I stay? You're the queen anyway…"
"There you go! What's your purpose? You have none! She just wants you out of the way. She left you to die in those mountains!"
"I'll need you there to give me advice. You're my sister. I need you as much as you need me."
"She's lying!"
"You have to trust her!"
"I'm confused," she admitted.
