"You're welcome," Astral said. He smiled, moving to be resting more o the bed. Even god's tired after giving someone a good, thorough massage. He hummed some, patting Simon's back. If this was what life here with Simon was going to be like, Astral was surprised he found himself liking the idea.

Simon let his eyes slide shut, perfectly happy in the god’s arms. He was trying not to fall asleep but it didn’t help that Astral was just so warm.

Astral blinked some himself, eventually just closing them in defeat. His heartbeat slowed some, a deep, steady lullaby Simon's head just so happened to be resting right over. The god shifted a bit on the bed, holding Simon close.
((Simon: but have you considered that my weakness is men-))
After a few more minutes, Simon drifted off to sleep again, still clinging tightly to the god, his body perfectly relaxed now. He was so comfortable that he’d forgotten he hadn’t even gotten to put his binder on this morning. Simon’s lungs get to live for another few hours.

Astral was close to sleep himself, but he managed to lay down completely without disturbing Simon and pulled the blanket over them both. So, with his arms still holding Simon to his chest, the god snoozed off as well. Yes, his bed was much more comfortable than the couch. It helped to have Simon in his arms, too. It was… confusing, but nice.

(Okay, but like, one day Simon's got the Bad Dysphoria day, and he mentions hating his body off-hand, and Astral just get a look, and Simon's like 'oh no he's going to go into a lecture about how I should love my body and I'm Not in the Mood' but Astral just scoops Simon up and explains that he can see Simon's body doesn't match his soul at all and it makes sense he would and then is just so affirming of both Simon's feelings and his masculinity–)
Simon would stay that way for maybe two hours or so before slowly waking back up. Even once he did wake up, he wasn’t necessarily eager to move or go anywhere. He was glad the god hadn’t left while he’d been sleeping though.

Astral would be out for a bit longer than that. He was enjoying the sleep as he could get it, looking content as he laid there with Simon. His chest rose and fell with every breath, Simon moving with it. The god was smiling in his sleep, one hand tangled gently in Simon's hair. So soft…

(Hrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh and he takes Simon over to the mirror and he raises his hands so Simon can only see certain parts of himself, and of course since it's a bad day he tries to nitpick every little feminine thing about himself, but Astral is able to point out a masculine thing for every feminine this and then even more, and he covers Simon's eyes for a moment before pulling them away and, like, a lot of the more feminine things are gone?? And he looks down and nope, it's not a trick of the mirror, it's actually real–)

Simon looked up at Astral while he was sleeping, gently resting his chin on the god’s chest, careful not to dislodge Astral’s hand from his hair. He smiled softly. Astral looked so…at peace.

Astral's head gently turned to the side, eyes fluttering some. Soon, he'd be waking up. He let out a small hum, fingers absentmindedly beginning to play with Simon's hair as he came to.

Simon quickly went back to his position from when he’d been sleeping, he wasn’t honestly even sure why, he just felt like he’d seen something he shouldn’t have. Which was ridiculous but whatever.

It was rare for one to be able to observe Astral sleeping in this way. Soon, his eyes were opened fully, and he looked down when he remembered who the weight on his chest was. He smiled softly, playing with Simon's hair still.
"Have a nice sleep-in?" The god asked softly. "Or would this count as a nap?"
(We're totally not living vicariously through Simon's experiences right now, not at all)
Simon giggled softly at the question. “I dunno but either way it was really nice.” He looked up at Astral, smiling softly. It was nice to have someone to cuddle with, it made him really happy.

"Yes, I must agree. We should do this again sometime." Astral chuckled softly, not sitting up. He was quite content to lay right where he was and cuddle with Simon. The god looked very, very happy indeed, and if it were for the myriad of indicators like his height or the fact he glowed faintly or the floating sun above his head, it would be quite easy to mistake him as a human with how he acted.
“Yeah…yeah we should.” He agreed, also not making any moves to sit up or pull away. So it seemed they’d be staying this way until one of them really needed to get up. He was glad to see Astral so happy.

How long had Simon been in the palace? Not long at all- and here he was, snoozing with the sun god, and probably the safest human in all the worlds. Astral ran his fingers through Simon's hair again, smiling.
"Mm…" Astral had given in by now. There was no way he was going to hurt Simon.
Simon curled up against Astral’s chest, basically just getting as comfortable as he could, hoping to be here for awhile. But then a thought hit him. He looked up at Astral worriedly. “Don’t you need to go work or something?” By Simon’s tone, Astral could hopefully tell that he was asking out of concern, not trying to make Astral go away.

Astral looked down at Simon, letting out a small breath.
"I suppose I will have to do that today, won't I," he said. He looked disappointed, that he couldn't just lay here with Simon. He moved to sit up, Simon still held almost protectively in his arms.
Simon looked disappointed as well, letting out a quiet sigh, still pressed up against Astral’s chest. He didn’t want the god to go honestly.

Astral stayed quiet for a moment, letting his chin rest on Simon's head. He might have offered to let Simon come with him, if he hadn't known the man would have been terrified. The god let out his own sigh, not moving yet.
“Well….” he began after a moment, breaking the silence. “I’ll still be here waiting once you’re all done for the day.” He reassured, pulling away ever so slightly to offer Astral a wide smile.

Astral considered this playfully, then nodded.
"Sounds good to me!" The god chuckled some, pulling Simon into a hug before finally standing up.
"Have a good day, okay?"

Simon laughed softly, pulling away from the god so he could stand. “Okay I will, as long as you do too!” He responded, a wide smile on his face.

"Mm," she said, holding back a chuckle, "So, what happened to being careful?
Simon jumped a bit, so caught up in his own thoughts that he’d forgotten she was even there. “I’m sorryyyyy!!” He whined, laying back down, his hands already going to cover his blushing face.
