Kallista didn't feel like replying to him. Instead, she spread her wings, taking to the sky. Her dark blue wings melted into the sky, hiding her body.

@Sugar-Lover

“Aye, you see I’m right.” Cody yelled up to her. “If you change your mind, just let me know.” With that Cody headed off into the woods.

Kallista watched him go. She couldn't get close to people, it was too risky. Arapazia would do anything to get rid of her, and she couldn't risk that happening to someone she had the possibility to have feelings for.

@Sugar-Lover

Cody walked silently over the fallen branches and leaves. Once the edge of the forest was out of sight, he leaned against a tree, berating in the scent if comfort. He was almost certain she would follow after. She had to, he could tell she wasn’t the type to give up easily and he needed to find this place.

Kallista didn't want to follow him, but where she w a travelling was in the direction she was going. She zoomed across the sky, surprisingly fast for someone with butterfly wings. She was almost graceful, silent but deadly.

@Sugar-Lover

Cody knelt down to the ground, closing his eyes as he felt the familiar feeling cross over him. A wolf stood in the place of him. Cody in his wolf form, ventured further into the woods.

Kallista knew of the rumors. While people knew of Arapazia's wrath, their fear made them believe everything she said. People thought she was an assassin, disfigured, a murderer, ruthless. She was none of those things.

@Sugar-Lover

Cody took off I to a run, stopping at a hint tree. The tree had a hole close to the ground just big enough for a wolf his size. He climbed into the hole which opened up to a small room with furnishings.

Kallista winced and bit her lip when something shot through her wing. She avoided screaming, as she didn't want to risk everyone knowing where she was. She crashed down nearby the tree Cody was in, groaning with pain at the impact.

@Sugar-Lover

Cody switched his form back into a human and went to go sit on the couch. He heard a load thud and some groaning outside. Quickly going back out he saw Kallista.

Kallista heaved herself to a sitting position and pulled her wing in front of her. She knew she was vulnerable but she had to heal her with.

@Sugar-Lover

Cody leaned against the tree and crossed his arms. “You change your mind, huh? Or did you just happen to find where I lived by accident?”

The Paradenian held up her wing, which had a clear hole in it. "I had to head to the next town, which was in the direction you were travelling. Someone shot through my wing, and I landed here."

@Sugar-Lover

Cody went over to her and examined the wing without touching it. “There’s a hole there alright. What do you need to fix your wing? I might have something that could do the job.”

"I don't need anything," Kallista snapped. The hole was slowly healing, the girl having used her healing magic on it. "I won't be able to fly for a couple hours, though. And they'll catch up to me on foot."

@Sugar-Lover

Cody put his hands up and took a few steps back. “Be as you are then. If you don’t need anything, then I’ll be heading back now.”

"I said I didn't need anything for my wing," She said with an exasperated tone. She stood up, wing healed. She wouldn't be able to fly with it for a few hours though, she knew. "But I need a place to hide."

@Sugar-Lover

“Now that, I definitely have.” Cody responded. “You just so happened to land very close to my base.” He pointed to giant tree a few yards away, that didn’t seem to have a hole in it. “My house is there, but only my pack can see the entrance.”

"What do you mean pack?" She asked. "Humans don have packs."

@Sugar-Lover

“Humans don’t have packs, but wolves do.” Cody responded. “I never said I was human. That’s just an assumption that most people make considering how I look.”

"Can you blame me for thinking that? Most people look like they are. Orcs look like orcs, fairies look like fairies, I look like a Paradenian."

@Sugar-Lover

“I don’t blame you. Most people don’t get it either.” Cody started walking back to his house. “Only other werewolves can tell that about someone instantly. But there aren’t any other in this area. Only me.”

"So… You don't have a pack?" She asked. "You're like me. You don't have anyone, I don't have anyone."

@Sugar-Lover

“I guess you could say that. I technically do have a pack. Half are dead and the other half are on the other side of the world. So I am alone-it’s just me I have to rely on. The half on the other side are horrible.” Cody stopped in front of the tree. “Give me your hand so I can pull you in.”

Kallista stared at his hand for a few moments, and then hesitantly took it. Her magenta eyes swept over him, and for some reason she felt herself trusting him fully.

@Sugar-Lover

Cody could sense the trust in her eyes as pulled her through the hole only he could see. He stepped into the room, which wasn’t much bigger than a small bed room. He let go of her hand as soon as she was inside.

Kallista made a small pile of vines appear. She slowly started to weave them together, creating a sort of makeshift cast for her wing. She attached the cast to either side of her healed wing, making it stick.

@Sugar-Lover

Cody sat down on a small cot in the corner of the room. He watched as she made vines appear out of nothing. He looked around room, trying to picture how it would look to her. There was a small makeshift kitchenette across the room, with a small table pushed up against the wall and a few chairs. A couch and storage cabinet was along the next wall. The room was a mix of cluttered and neat, with random things spattered about.

Kallista had to keep her wing flat. She left it open, while the other one she kept close to her back.
"She landed around here! Find her!" They heard from outside. Kallista was terrified. She didn't know what they would do to her.

@Sugar-Lover

Cody looked over at Kallista when he heard the voices. “Don’t worry too much, this place is protected by magic. They should have a very hard time getting to you.”
