"I wish I had a choice, but trust me, it's temporary." He replied. The higher-ups had told him about this girl and her suspicious nature, so he wasn't at all surprised. Interesting. Too bad they never told him what to say in these situations.
I uhhhh, have a weird pitch for anyone looking for a 1/1 (OPEN)

"Why." She then demanded. Why did she need some temporary babysitter? Why now? So many questions and thoughts were spinning around her mind, and she couldn't focus on just one. So she settled with the one word, waiting for him to decipher what she meant by it and answer what he thought she needed to hear. She'd hear his lies, then call him out on it.
"Because you're a very important person, what with your heritage and all. The Greek gods are not watching over you, so Heaven has elected to." He replied.

She crossed her arms over her chest, giving him a flat look. So apparently she needed a divine babysitter. Not cool. And he wasn't exactly lying, so she couldn't shoot him down either. Damn. "So…what? You've been given the unfortunate task of watching over yours truly? Why the sudden interest?"
(Hold on I'm working out(

(Hollo. Just thought I'd bump it)
"It would appear so." He replied. "But then, that doesn't mean you're incapable of defending yourself."

"No, no I'm not." Aurae blew some strands of hair out of her face, then checked the time on her simple watch. "Damn," she muttered, then bent down to grab her cards. "Welp, this has been fun and all, but I got to go to work." She waved sarcastically. "αντιο σας." (antio sas)
"Mm." He replied, turning into a songbird and twittering after her.

She sighed and jumped off of the dumpster. He's not going to leave me, is he? she mentally grumbled. She didn't have many earnings today, so her simple, practically empty cap wasn't very satisfying to look at as she grabbed it and stuffed the money in her back pocket, then put the hat on. The restaurant wasn't very far from where she currently was, and it was more of an outdoors restaurant than indoors, so she'd at least be able to get plenty of fresh air. She started walking down the sidewalk, weaving between the other pedestrians streaming by.
He darted around, twittering from buildingtop to buildingtop, his beady birb eyes staring at her.

"That's just creepy," Aurae muttered, mostly to herself and partially to the strange bird-man following her around. She briefly thought about what Ebony and Ivory would think about a bird just following her around. They were curious snakes—at best. They were mischievous and slightly prone to ignoring her demands at worst. They might see the bird and think of it as lunch.
He became a small, black mouse, and scurried down the drain pipe of one of the buildings

"Sweet. Now I've got a pet mouse. Perfect for two pet boa constrictors." She rolled her eyes, then swerved into the restaurant that she was to work in today. The owner was immediately there, putting on her apron without a word, shoving a notepad and pen in her hand, then ushering her to a table with a lovely looking couple. Aurae blinked, but plastered on a sweet smile and came up to them to do her job.
