Anyway, here’s my basic idea:

Two people meet at a holiday resort in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. They hit it off and start hanging out. Then, there’s a murder and the two have to solve it but as they try, more and more people die from some unknown force. Is it magic? Maybe. Who knows, you’re choice if you want this to be magical or not.

So uh, yeah, high-key want this to be gay so… yeah… that is all for now.

Personality: Quill is inquisitive. He invents things and gadgets for a living and for a hobby, so he can be a little lost in his own mind sometimes. Is a ravenclaw. Background: Quill left his family in Izamal, Mexico, to take up the life of an engineer in america. Has no grudge against his parents and gets along well with them and his friends, except they're always complaining and nagging him to come back and be useful again. Personality: He’s a reserved person, though is a real flirt and energetic person when you get to know him. He’s one hundred percent a hufflepuff but won’t hesitate to cut a bitch it they hurt him or someone he loves.
Background: Originally from England, he has a strong Northern accent. His mother left when he was little, leaving only him and his dad. His dad, unfortunately passed away in a car accident when he was fourteen and he went into foster care. He. Jumped around from home to home until he was eighteen and then he moved to America when he was nineteen with the help of his aunt and uncle.
Likes: tea, chocolate, the rain and over sized sweaters

A vacation was well over due for Mikki. Damn, he’d been through his fair share of shit that last few years of his life and honestly, going to a remote island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with only the sun, the sea animals and other people wanting to relax sounded like an amazing idea.

He was one day into his trip and it was going great. No one had bothered him and the sun had been blazing down on him the entire day. And today wa son exception, either. He was currently lounging by the pool, hopefully not burning and trying to tan. His phone was even on silent for once and he had a book.

Quill's parents had set him up for this vacation.
"Quillon, darling, you need to take a break from all the noise. Look at you, you're getting pale like your uncle, get some sun!" They'd told him.
He didn't not enjoy it. So far, it had been great. He liked talking to the crew about the mechanics, and how everything worked - all in all it was just very fascinating. He thought perhaps the only reason he wasn't ecstatic was the fact that his parents were, for once, right.
He toyed with a gleaming, small piece of equipment in his hand - something he'd snagged from the boiler room when his guide wasn't paying the most complete attention. It was the main part of a filtering device, one that he could use back home.

The good thing about this resort was that there was no small children allowed. So the pool was just filled with young and old couples, as well as people like Mikki. He looked around the large area before his eyes landed on some guy with… well he didn’t quite know on the other side of the pool. He raised a brow before he stood, and dove into the water.

Quill slipped the tool into his pocket and turned around, leaning against the railing. Running a hand through his hair, he sighed. It was too cold back in his room, but also devoid of projects out here in the sun. "Dios mio," He mumbled to himself. "Me siento incomodo…"

Mikki popped up on the other side of the pool, shaking his hair out before he leaned against the side of the pool, resting his head in his hands, “Hey there ticker bell, what were you fiddling with just then?”

Quill's eyes widened for a second as he glanced down at Mikki - he was caught off guard. Fabricating an answer quickly, he tilted his head from side to side.
"A trinket," He decided, finally resting his gaze on Mikki.

Mikki raised a brow, tilting his own head slightly and leaving it there, "Trinket? Cool, even though somehow I don't quite believe you… could I see, please?" He asked, smiling up at Quill.

Considering for a moment, Quill shrugged and returned the smile a little bit, sitting down and taking the filter out of his pocket. "It's a filter."

Mikki looked at it curiously, head tilting more to the side in confusion. He frowned, through it was more of a pout then anything, "What does it do?"

Heyyy, that's kinda cute. Um. What? "It filters things. In this case, it filters hot and cold water, but it can probably be modified to do way more than that," Quill explained, letting him toy with it.

Mikki turned the filter over in his hands, making sure not to drop it in the water as he listened to what he said. He nodded slightly before handing it back, "Cool. Not really my thing, but cool," He smiled up at him, "I'm Mikki."

Quill shrugged again, holding out his hand. “Nice name. I’m Quillon, but you can call me Quill, I guess.”

Mikki reached out one hand and took Quill's, shaking it before retracting his hand back into the water, "Nice to meet you Quill," He sighed softly, "Any particular reason who wanted to holiday here?"

"Not really," Quill admitted, glancing around. "My parents set it up for me, but it's actually turning out pretty nice."

Mikki hummed his agreement and nodded, “Yeah, the sun is nice. And it’s also nice to just… get away from a while. It’s cool your parents set it up for you.”

Quill shrugged, resting his head on his hand and peering at Mikki. "They said I should get some sun. They were actually right, for once. It is nice to work in peace sometimes."

Mikki giggled, "You're on holiday, you're not supposed to be working, stupid. Relax in the sun, read a book, go swimming."

Okay, okay. That was cute.
"Yeah, well, I like machines. I find it hard to relax." Quill smiled back, tilting his head.

Mikki splashed him a little, another giggle slipping, "Then maybe I can spend this holiday teaching you, if you want me to, that is…"
