"No, actually, I'm just going to do some inspections of the labyrinth. I'll need this boy - your son, I assume - to show me around the most visited areas of this place," he nodded to Icarus, rolling up the plans and holding them in front of him. "I would ask you, but your poor frail bones might break from the exertion."

Daedalus snorted. "I am many things, but frail is not one of them. But fine. Take the boy, if you must." He waved a hand.
Icarus was silent, standing to the side and waiting to be told what to do.

Apollo nodded toward the door. "Wonderful. Shall we, then?" He turned to Icarus expectantly.

Icarus hesitated, then followed Apollo quietly, golden eyes flashing slightly as they walked. He crossed his arms.

Apollo looked up at the sky, waiting until they were a ways away from Daedalus before speaking. "So… I got the plans." He looked back down, offering the papers to Icarus.

Icarus nodded a little. "Yeah. And…?" He trailed off, looking up at Apollo curiously. "What now?"

"Well, it might be good to look through them," he suggested with a wry smile. "I knew this was a good idea. He's closer to a solution than I thought, though."

Icarus' eyes flickered. "But…" He swallowed. "I just don't know…what to do? About it?" He asked slowly.

"What do you mean?" Apollo squinted confusedly.

"I mean…you have the plans. Now what?" Icarus ran a hand through his curls.

Apollo shrugged. "That's really up to you. You could wait for him to finish planning, or plan something yourself, or whatever else you come up with."

Icarus bit his lip. "I-I…" he took a deep breath. "I don't know." he said softly.

"What does that mean, what don't you know?" Apollo rubbed the back of his neck, mildly frustrated.

Icarus shrugged. "I don't know what to do." he replied honestly. "We don't even…need the plans, I…"

Apollo shrugged. "Like I said, you don't need to do anything, if you don't want to. It's just always good to have all information about what's going on in your life. In my experience, anyway; you never know when it'll come in handy."

Icarus shrugged. "Yeah, but…I was right. I told you he was working on plans, and he is." He bit his lip. He knew that the god didn't understand why Icarus wasn't taking the initiative. He knew that.

Apollo let out a short laugh. "Yes, you were right. You've earned bragging rights, congratulations."

Icarus let out a half smile, and shrugged, looking down at the plans carefully. He took a deep breath.

Apollo bit his lip, waiting a little while before speaking. "Is your father going to be angry?"

"Probably." Icarus replied softly. "He won't…blame it on me, but he'll still be pissed, and…" Probably take it out on me.

"Then I won't leave," Apollo said quickly.

Icarus bit his lip. "You can't be here all the time. You're a god. You have better things to do than hang out in a labyrinth."

Apollo snorted lightly. "You'd think that, but I really don't. My job is… sort of incredibly easy. No one prays to me because I don't do much, and I don't cause much trouble with mortals, so it's- there's not a load of work."

Icarus shrugged a little bit. "Oh." He replied slowly. "But…still. I…" He didn't know what to say. Or do. Or anything.

Apollo smiled. "It's not any trouble," he assured Icarus earnestly.

Icarus bit his lip. "Are…are you sure?" He asked slowly.

"Yes, I'm fairly sure of the amount of usefulness I possess," Apollo said drily.

Icarus shrugged a little bit. "I guess." he replied with a faint smile.

Apollo grinned. "You guess? That's not very promising."

Icarus rolled his eyes. "Mm." he looked at the plans again.
