Cat smiled and nodded. The teacher started talking and she wrote down notes. She also sketched on the side.
"Just becuase we're soulmates, doesn't mean I like you" (O/O) (Closed)
Lotus started to take notes. They focused mainly on the teacher and occasionally glanced at Cat.
Cat ended up focusing more on her sketches than the teacher but she took enough notes to get it. As she focused on her drawing her tongue stuck out the corner of her mouth slightly.
Lotus focused on taking notes though they spotted Cat's tongue and then proceeded to stop glancing at Cat. They didn't want to go there yet. The bell rang and they stood up to go to the next class.
Cat smiled at her paper when she finished and looked back up at the teacher. she glanced at Lotus hoping they’ll do another group project soon.
Lotus looked to Cat and gave her one last smile before heading out of the classroom with all the other students. They kept their head down as they moved.
Cat walked to her next period wanting to just go to lunch already. She practically fell asleep in her next class. Her eyes flickering shut.
Lotus felt their next period go by insanely slow, probably because they were doing a review. The bell rang and they stood up almost immediately to go to lunch. They went to the lunchroom and sat down at their table.
Cat got up at the bell and went to lunch. She hesitated slightly before walking over to Lotus. “Can i sit here?” She asked with a nervous smile.
Lotus gave her a little smile back. They moved a little, "Um, sure. Don't feel like sitting with dumb and dumber?"
“Nope I haven’t sat with them all week,” she said putting her bag down. “I’m going to get food I’ll be right back.” She went and got pizza again.
"Got it," Lotus responded as they grabbed the food from their bag. They began eating as they waited for Cat still a little wary of this new experience.
Cat sat across from her. Starti no to eat her pizza. “So umm how’s your day going?” She asked even though they had a similar conversation already in 1st period.
"It's been," Lotus responded rubbing their lips together, "A day. How about yours?"
“My last class was really boring but other than that it’s no bad,” she said taking out her sketchbook. She ate the rest of her food.
"What class do you have before lunch?" Lotus asked a little curious.
“Math,” Cat said resting her head on her hand. “I almost passed out.” She finished her pizza and opened her sketchbook.
"I have math too," Lotus commented, "Adcanced math, but I didn't almost pass out."
“Yeah i suck at math,” she admits. “I’m not in like the lowest class though. They sort of just put me in whatever class wasn’t full since I came in a few weeks late.”
"Makes sense," Lotus commented. They started on their chips, "I mean that's what I would do."
“Yeah but I already learned everything they’re teaching in math at my last school. I mean I’m not good at it but I know it,” she said shrugging.
"Then you should be in the advanced class," Lotus looked up at Cat, still not meeting eye to eye, "Most of the stuff the regular class goes through we've already covered."
Cat shrugged. “My grades don’t really reflect what I know do they probably won’t move me up,” she admits. Looking down at her sketchbook but not drawing.
"You could still ask," Lotus told her softly. They remembered their own fight getting into the advanced classes. Every time they had switched to a new school they had to repeat it over and over again, despite having a track record of doing well. Except for science, because fuck science,
Cat shrugged again. “I’ll think about it,” she said taking out a pencil. She went threw this on all of her schools. She never really tries in any of them though. The few times she did nothing changed.
"That's all I'm ever going to ask," Lotus responded leaning back in their chair putting their bag back into their bag, "So I'm guessing you're in art classes?"
“Not yet I have it next semester,” she said trying to think about what to draw. She half wanted to draw Lotus but didn’t really want to do it in front of her and come off as creepy.
Lotus shrugged and then bit their lip before they asked, "So what classes do you have this semester? Besides math and English."
“Science, history, and Spanish. I have my electives plus mire math and English next semester. What about you?”
"Math, English, TAing the programming class, History and then fucking science," Lotus responded the science barely making it off their tongue.
