Zane's smile widened a little.

Nemo put his book down, taking his glasses off.
"It's too cliché

Nemo twirled his legs around to be sitting on the edge of the bed.

Nemo shot a look at Zane, thinking Those aren't the lyrics.
"You're way off base, I won't say it

Zane huffed a laugh, shaking his head slightly. Oops.
"Girl don't be proud it's okay you're in love."

Nemo finally sat in front of Zane on the floor.
"Ohhh…
At least out loud
I won't say I'm in love"

When he finished, Zane's cheek were flushed slightly and he smiled softly at Nemo.

Nemo blushed, looking down.

"You have a beautiful voice." He said quietly, resisting the urge to pull the other into an embrace.

"Tha-thanks," Nemo blushed, fiddling with the corners of his shirt.

After a moment of debating, Zane reached out and softly, and slowly so Nemo could pull away if he wanted, but he took the boys hand in his own giving it a squeeze, "You're welcome. But I'm just telling the truth."

Nemo stared into Zane's eyes. His hand started to burn, so he pulled it away and stood up. He walked over to the wall and pulled the baby grand down. His father had built it into the wall for his 13th birthday.

Zane wrapped his arms around himself, watching Nemo carefully. He couldn't help but feel like he did something wrong but he kept his mouth shut.

Nemo started to play a tune.

Zane just smiled and listened for the rest.

His smile grew. He really did love Nemo's voice.

"Is there another song you want played?" Nemo blushed.

"Yeah there-" He was cut off by his phone ringing. He sighed, then checked it before his eyes widened and he tried to not show too much panic. He swallowed and put his phone in his pocket, letting it ring out.

"Shouldn't you…shouldn't you get that?" Nemo asked. "People normally only call if it's important."

He shook his head maybe a little two quickly, “No. It’s no one important.”

"You sure? It seems important."
