Nixa was about to speak and take the blame, but Lara surprised her. She keeps her head bowed, making sure not to move a millimeter.

Lara’s father huffed and shook his head. “Get ready you two. The men are waiting downstairs.”

Nixa nods and gently shuts the door. Once she was sure the king was gone she smiled at Lara and burst into an arry of giggles.

Lara looked at her curiously. “Wh-what are you giggling about?”

"Oh. That was the first time in a certain long time that I broke the rules. It felt refreshing really." She replies with a smile.

Lara giggled too and rolled her eyes. “We should break the rules some more.”

Nixa nods. "Yes. But later. Let's get you ready." She teases gently.

Lara grabbed Nixa’s arm. “We should run away.”

Nixa blinks. "I'm sorry. What?" She looks at. The other. "Are you sure? Running away is more complicated than you think." She says softly.

Lara frowned but immediately perked up again. “We should run away anyway. It’d be so wonderful.”

Nixa smiles. "Well… I do know a few people that could help us. Why not?" She chuckles softly.

Lara giggled. “It’d just be you and me. We’d have a wonderful time.”

Nixa nods. "Well… We need a few things before we go. Food. Clothes. Supplies."

Lara nodded. “That’s easy to steal.”

Nixa stares at her. "May I remind you princess that I am a guard? I stop thieves." She rolls her eyes. "Besides. I've got friends." She chuckles.

Lara giggled wildly and hugged Nixa close. “I wanna steal stuff with my favorite guard!”

Nixa rolls her eyes and sighs softly. "Alright. Alright. Just this once."

“Yaaaaay! Stealing!” She giggled.

Nixa raises a brow before chuckling and shaking her head.

Lara bounced around the room. “Should we go now? Before father comes back?”

Nixa stares at her before chuckling and nodding. "Go pack only what you need." She says gently.
