@Fraust

"Eh, it's kind of amusing to think of someone my size throwing people around." Cas shrugged.

@ZephirFox8812

Ashley laughed even more. "I wasn't before, but I am now!"

@Fraust

Cas smiled a bit, leaning back in his chair. "I've just got to thank magic for that, honestly."

@ZephirFox8812

Ashley's smile flickered a little. "So, how did you become a hero?"

@Fraust

"Um, well… I was living on the streets, there was a ton of crime happening, and no one was doing anything about it. So, naturally, I decided to take the role no one wanted."

@ZephirFox8812

"Naturally." Ashley leaned towards him. "Have you really been living on the streets? How did it happen?"

@Fraust

"Ran away from home when I was twelve, never went back." Cas shrugged. "It's not easy, especially not winters, but it's a hell of a lot better than living with my dad."

@ZephirFox8812

"Ah. He really bad?" He glanced around, looking guilty. "I mean, my dad's only here like 5% of the time so I really don't know him anymore."

@Fraust

Cas nodded. "I'd rather my dad wasn't around, honestly… rarely saw the man sober, and he's responsible for far too many scars."

@ZephirFox8812

"That must have been hard." He whispered, looking down.

@Fraust

"Mhmm. I knew from a pretty early age I wanted out, but I didn't have the guts until I was twelve." Cas sighed, fidgeting with his hands.

@ZephirFox8812

"Should we change the subject?" Ashley muttered, feeling uncomfortable.

@Fraust

"If you want to. You have a right to know about my past, though…"

@ZephirFox8812

(omg sorry sorry sorry exams happened)
"I guess. Just I don't want it to be uncomfortable for you." Ashley said, gesturing vaguely with his hands.

@Fraust

(Np)
Cas shrugged. "It's fine… is there anything you want to know?"

@ZephirFox8812

Ashley shrugged. "Whatever you're comfortable saying."

@Fraust

"Um… I dunno. I never really knew my mother?"

@ZephirFox8812

"Me neither. Dad refuses to talk about it."

@Fraust

Cas nodded. "Nothing's really coming to mind… um… again, if you've got any questions, that's fine."
(Me, sick and braindead lol)

@ZephirFox8812

Ashley froze. "Nothings really coming to my mind either. Should we go get this checked?" He slid the glass ball out of his pocket and held it out in his palm.

@Fraust

"Yeah, sure. Who are we going to?" Cas asked, standing up.

@ZephirFox8812

Ashley stood and grabbed keys from the table. "This man a few blocks away. He specialises in magical items. People think he's insane but he's just a little weird. He taught me how to decurse objects."

@Fraust

Cas nodded. "Alright. I'll follow you, I suppose." He followed Ashley outside.

@ZephirFox8812

Ashley pulled on a hoodie as he left the house. He instinctively flipped the hood up over his ears and tucked his tails around his leg.

@Fraust

Cas noticed this, but didn't mention it. He never really bothered covering his ears or hiding his tail, at least not intentionally. A downside of that was that it tended to get him recognized.

@ZephirFox8812

Ashley directed Cas until the pair stood in front of a gloomy house on a street corner. It looked like nothing more than an ordinary house. "Doesn't look like much, huh?" Ashley smiled.

@Fraust

Cas shook his head. "Well, it looks like a nice house to me, but not one that's out of the ordinary."

@ZephirFox8812

"Wait till you see the inside." Ashley smiled wider "You ready?"

@Fraust

He nodded tentatively and followed Ashley's lead.

@ZephirFox8812

Ashley walked to the door and gave it a sharp kick. It swung open without the slightest creak surprisingly. One almost expected it to. "Dapper?" Ashley called into the house. It wasn't dark like in the movies just shadowed because it was full, wall to wall, of shelves and cabinets. "He must be focused." Ashley traversed the houses messy terrain with practiced ease.
