Mermaid/romance rp thing one on one

Moxiey was trying to work up a plan in her head as fast as she could think. "Grayson," she whispered.

"Please Moxiey.." He whispered, willing her not to give it to Diara.

She turned her back to Diara to mouth, 'I have a plan.'

Grayson tilted his head slightly as to ask what it was.

She shook her head so subtly, no one would've noticed unless they were looking for it. She turned back to Diara. "Can I ask you… just one thing?"

Grayson watched her curiously, waiting for something.

Diara gritted her teeth. "What?" She prepared to make a signal to Lexter.
Moxiey kept the rock tight in her hand. She summoned up all her courage. "How good can you catch?"
Diara blinked.

Grayson frowned a little but hoped he knew what she meant, wincing a little as water seeped through one of the cuts on his back, releasing his blood into the water.

Moxiey tossed the rock high in the air. Diara looked up to keep it in eyesight and try to catch it. Moxiey knew she would and rammed right into her. Lexter swam over in a heartbeat and lashed at Moxiey. She screamed and grabbed for the rock. She managed to get a hold on it and toss it to Grayson. "Go! I swear I'll be right behind you!"

Grayson caught the rock and glanced back at her worriedly before swimming away, not as fast as he usually was.

Moxiey ducked away from Lexter one more time and began to swim away, following Grayson. Suddenly, something caught her ankle and pulled her back. ”Not so fast,” Diara said heavily, smirking.
“No!” Moxiey cried.

Grayson turned back to them, looking down at the rock, then up at Moxiey.

"Go!" Moxiey yelled at Grayson, heartbreak in her voice. "Go now!"

"I'm sorry…" He said quietly, swimming away with the rock.

Diara yanked Moxiey backwards painfully. The pure mermaid screamed.

Grayson swam up to the surface and hid the stone in a rock, stupid idea, but he had to get back down to Moxiey.

”That…” Diara growled, putting a knife to Moxiey’s throat and using her as a shield, ”was a stupid idea.” She signaled to Lexter and the shark took off in the direction Grayson went.
“No!” Moxiey whispered.

(sorry if I didn't make that clear but the stone is on land, like, past where the water starts)

(I know. But Diara, Lexter, and Moxiey don't.)

Grayson started swimming towards Moxiey. "I practically just gave you the stone Diara, let her go."

Lexter darted towards Grayson.

Moxiey sniffed and Diara pressed the dagger closer. "Do you WANT her dead?"

Grayson swam away from Lexter. "I gave you the stone Diara. Now you just have to get it." He said angrily.

Diara scowled. Her grip tightened on the knife. "Tell me where it is."

"On land.." He said, shrugging a little.

Diara moved the knife carelessly back and forth. Moxiey could hardly breathe. "Get it for me."
