Mermaid/romance rp thing one on one

Brenna hesitated. "Diara may have done something. I'm not sure what, but that's my guess."

"But why would she make me able to breathe under water? That only helps us.."

"I don't know. That's what I'm saying: I'm not exactly sure yet, but who else - or what else - could do that?"

"Could be something from my past maybe…I always remember coming here when I was little and I…I never knew my parents.."

Brenna wrinkled her nose in confusion. "What are you saying?"

"I don't know..it might be me that's doing this…"

Brenna squinted and looked thoughtful. "I don't know… how would you explain it?"

“How would I explain…?” He titled his head a little.

Brenna sighed. "Are you saying that one of your parents could have been a mermaid?"

“Maybe…possibly..” He said, thinking about his past and any mention of his parents.

"That… would be near impossible."

“I don’t know any other explanation..”

“I don’t know what else it could be..”

Moxiey shifted in what seemed to be pain. Instantly, Brenna was back at her side. "Moxiey?"

Grayson looked down at her worriedly. “Are you sure we can’t do anything?”

Moxiey looked up and smiled. “Grayson…”

"How are you feeling?" He asked, kneeling down so he was closer to her.

“Okay, I guess.”

"Do you need anything?"

“No,” she said, exhaling softly.

“Okay..do you know what happened?” He asked quietly.

Moxiey’s expression dropped. “No.”

“Oh…well I’m glad you’re okay..”

Moxiey smiles faintly. She opened her lips, but froze mid-thought. She shook her head and sighed.

“What’s wrong?” Grayson asked, frowning a little.

Moxiey shook her head again.

Grayson gazed down at her worriedly.

"I'll go stand watch," Brenna suggested. "Grayson…" She swam close to his ear to whisper, "Figure out what's wrong."

“I’ll try..” He replied in a whisper. “Hey Moxiey..” he looked down at her .
