M gave the book an exasperated look. “Ah, Pax is my husband. It’s a slim difference but still is one.”

"Yeeah but he's a panther too."

“He’s a Shapeshifter.”

"Same thing. Like meee."

M sighed gently. “Yes, just like you.”

"And you!" She turned to Tyler, who smiled and nodded.

M chuckled gently. “He needs reminding, apparently.”

"Well you never know. He could've forgot." She said, settling herself comfortably next to Tyler.

M rolled his eyes. “Like you, I suppose?”

"Yeah! Like meee." She laid her head on Tyler's shoulder.

M gave a little hum, shaking his head. “You’re just smitten, North.”

North giggled and Tyler grinned down at her, putting his arm around her and pulling her close to him. "You're crazy."

M flipped the page of his book. They can feel him judging.

North glanced up at M. "M, M hey M." She whispered.

M ignored her and continued reading. Butterflies. Yes.

North turned to Tyler. "He likes his butterflies better than me."

Tragic. M snorted quietly and flipped the page.

Tyler held back a laugh and looked down at her. "I'm sure that's not the case."

M continued reading, studying a few diagrams he oh, so adored. He grinned and traced the page with his finger.

"It's always nature with you and Neo. Him and his tree and you and your fucking butterflies." She looked over at M.

M looked up at her with an eyebrow raised. “Neo likes trees?”

"Oh yeah, took us like 20 minutes to leave this one place cause Neo was saying goodbye to a tree."

M shook his head. “Sounds tragic.”

"Very. Anyways, does Pax know you're cheating on him with the butterflies?"

“I’m not cheating on him. I’ve liked butterflies for a very long time.”

M rolled his eyes and back down to his book he went.

North sighed and laid her head back onto Tyler's shoulder. "I'm tired.." He frowned down at her. "You were just sleeping!"
