North wrapped her arms around herself as she walked through the forest. It was really cold.

(I knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww)

She heard a faint meow from nearby. There was a crack of leaves and a louder meow from her immediate right.

North turned quickly. "Pax?"

(I don’t know what that is)
The panther stuck his head out of the bushes, meowing.

North smiled down at him. "Hey. What're you doing?"

Pax meowed again, angrily and disappeared into the underbrush again, beckoning her with his tail.

North followed him, frowning a little.

He lead her through the forest, towards the warmer, somewhat sunnier part. He burst through a clearing and they found M, curled up in a sweater, reading a book. Pax grabbed his clothes (which were laying near M’s feet) in his mouth and padded off.

North sighed and walked over to M. "The universe is falling apart and you're reading a book."

M glanced up as she approached. “Excuse me?”

"Just come back and see for yourself."

M groaned. “It’s such a nice day, though…”
Once again, a distant crash signified a piece of STD falling. Right in front of them.

North jumped back. "I think you should be a little more concerned."

M stared at the piece of STD. “Well, that is a problem…”

"Just a little one." She said quietly, looking at it.

M stood up slowly.
Pax trotted into the clearing, human and fully dressed, only to scream loudly at the STD.

North widened her eyes at Pax. "What're you going to do?"

M slunk over to the shard, then poked it with his toe. “Tell the Gods.”

"And just let these things keep falling on us?"

M sighed. “I dunno. They might make us help them.”
Pax walked over to M and grabbed his arm.

"Help them how?"

M shrugged. “They might make us go get stuff for them from different areas or something.”

"Oh..ok. Even me? I'm not that helpful."

M chuckled. “You have a pair of hands, don’t you?”

North smiled at the ground. "Yeah I guess."

Pax giggled. “That makes you handy, then.”
Oh my god.
“That would put you in the running for being a God’s left hand woman.” M chortled.

"Wow..just…wow."

(Come on those puns were gold.)

M grinned. “You’re right, this is too serious to ignore.”
Gods, please, no.
“On the other hand it would be good to work with her.”

North felt a laugh escape her lips. "You two are horrible."
