Romeo quickly slipped into the crowd, moving through them as though he was just like everyone else. But you’re not, his brain couldn’t help say. He ignored the thought.
Modern Day Romeo and Juliet (Stalkers welcome)
Juliet slipped into an alleyway, changing into her suit with quick and practiced ease. And then she was Siren, her villain alter ego. With a power like hers, villain had been the best way to go. Now, to rob that bank on Fifth,
Romeo walked to the food place. As he was walking, he passed the bank. The security seemed bad. He clenched his fists slightly as he passed, but didn’t try to do anything.
Juliet sauntered into the bank, easily passing a security guard. She was stopped a total of once, but a smile and little bit of power poured into her voice took care of that. And that's when the fun started. She wouldn't actually kill anyone, or even hurt anyone. Well, maybe shed rough up a couple of security guards, but hey.
Someone sauntered into the bank, and Romeo stiffened. Quickly slipping into the place, he eyed everything. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary… until he saw her. Doing… something, he couldn’t tell what.
Juliet made her way up to one of the teller windows, leaning against the counter casually. "Well hello there, gorgeous." She spoke in a low, flirty voice to the teller, who looked up from her magazine and froze. There it is. Everyone in the city knew who she was.
The teller's eyes flickered past her to one of the security guards, and soon the bank was being put on lockdown as civilians were being ushered out one by one. Like they thought she wouldn't notice. But that was good. Get the innocents out, so no one got caught up in this unnecessarily.
Romeo sighed. Slipping his jacket off and pulling his mask on, his suit morphed into him. Nothing too glamourous, just a dark shirt and pants.
He sauntered over. “What’re you doing, sweetheart?” He drawled.
"Punching you, if you call me sweetheart again." Juliet said, not even looking over at him. Nothing in her stance changed to indicate she was worried. Even better, some fun.
“I’d like to see you try.” Romeo was having fun. More than he had had for… what was it, two years now?
"Oh, I will. Just give me thirty seconds." Juliet let her power leak into her voice, her voice smooth and unhurried, and oddly compelling. "Now, Ms…Kelly. I'll take five hundred dollars, cash. Make it to go." It was an odd amount of money, much less than most robbers would have gone for. She turned, finally, to look at the man beside her, presumably some hero. "Now, where were we?"
“Well, you were using your weird voice to make them give you money, and I was standing here, being bored.”
"Oh, you poor thing." Juliet stuck out her bottom lip in a condescending pout, tilting her head to the side. "You cold always leave, if I'm that boring. Nobody's keeping you here."
Romeo shrugged. “I totally would, except for the fact that this is the first real fun I’ve had in ages.”
"Well that is incredibly sad." Juliet quipped, just as a wad of hundreds was slid into the tray under the teller's window. The corner of her mouth quirked up and she reached out, grabbing it and tucking it away. "So, Mr. Are you playing the hero today?"
He shrugged. “Well, you’re being the villain, so… I guess?”
"Oooh, that's fun. So, tell me. Are you gonna engage me in some gritty fight?" She tilted her head, ticking them off on her fingers. "Or are you more the 'why are you bad, when you could do things that help others, and make you feel good' type? Oh! Or are you the witty conversation whilst dealing blows that don't actually do much damage type?"
Romeo snickered. “A mix of the first and third, I think, although I’ve never seen myself fight, so I wouldn’t know.”
"The last one is always my favorite." Juliet mused, hand resting on her hip. "You better hope you're actually witty, Mr. Hero."
Romeo smirked. “I hope I am too.” Crackling energy ran along his arms, although he made no move to fight her.
"First move's yours, Hero." Juliet said, tossing her hair over her shoulder. "Unless I should just be going. I'm a busy gal, after all."
Romeo gave a mock sigh. “But I was trying to think! Now you messed me up!” Energy ran down his arms and into the floor, going up her legs and trapping her.
"Oh no, I've been trapped." Juliet's dramatic 'woe is me' moment was laced with her power, a wicked glint to her eyes visible despite her mask. "Big guy in the corner, I could use some help." The guy in the corner, under her control, shot forward, slamming into Romeo.
Romeo darted lightly away, smiling slightly. “What, using someone else to do the dirty work for you?”
"Well, you know, it's kind of hard to do any work when you're cemented to the ground." Juliet pointed out, motioning for the man to keep trying. This time, he full on tackled Romeo to the ground.
“Very true. I would help you, but I’m, ya know, pinned down.” Romeo shoved the guy off in a surge of strength and stood again.
Juliet used his momentary lapse in focus to pull her legs from the restraints, shrugging a shoulder. "It's not like I can control the guy." She quipped, as the man came back to his senses with great confusion.
Romeo snorted. “You seemed to be doing just that.” Energy came crackling into the room, swarming up the walls in glittering gold and blue arcs.
"Oh, careful careful careful." Juliet waggled a finger at him, mouth turned up in a lopsided smile. "While your little magic trick is pretty, I'm sure you wouldn't want to hurt any innocents."
Romeo shrugged. “What, you’ll make them pitch themselves off the roof or something?”
"Your opinions of me are so low." Juliet said, pouting. "I was talking more about you hurting them."
