Alex led her to his car and opened the door for her. “Wonderful idea.”

“Why, thank you, sir,” Autumn chuckled as she sat in her seat.
Alex shut the door and walked around the car to the driver’s seat. “You’re welcome, my lady.”

“Oh, hey! What if we go out to that dinner I owe you tomorrow?” Autumn suggested.
Alex’s mouth dropped into an O shape. “You’re gonna take me out?”

“Well, I owe you, do I not?” Autumn reminded him, raising an eyebrow.
Alex giggled. “Yeah. But at least act like you’ll enjoy it.” He pecked her cheek.

“I do! Why would you think I wouldn’t?” Autumn asked.
Alex giggled again and rolled his eyes. “Don’t get upset. Do you want me to help pay for it?”

“No, no. I owe you. I can pay for it, hun,” Autumn assured him with a smile.
Alex smiled back and nodded. “Okay, babe. Just making sure.”

“I mean, I should be able to with my salary,” Autumn chuckled.
Alex chuckled too. “Right. We’re both filthy rich.”

“Not filthy rich… Just… Better off than most,” Autumn laughed lightly.
Alex rolled his eyes, grinning. “Well, both of our cash amounts togethe would make us filthy rich.”

“Yeah, I guess it would,” Autumn chuckled.
“Therefore,” Alex finished, “we are filthy rich.”

“Okay, then we need to go buy a mansion and twelve dogs,” Autumn declared with a grin.
Alex paused, staring out the car. “We should do that.”

“Babe… I was joking…” Autumn said, staring over at him. “We do not need twelve dogs…”
“Yes we do,” Alex disagreed. He loved dogs, as long as they were the large breeds.

“No, not twelve! My word… I’m okay with three,” Autumn said, giving him a look.
“Seven?” Alex joked with a grin.

Autumn snorted and shook her head. “No, dear…”
“Okay, okay.” Alex thought for a second. “How about…. eight.”

“That’s more than seven!” Autumn exclaimed, swatting at his arm as she laughed a bit.
Alex laughed and patted her back. “Right right I forgot!”

“I know you’re teasing me, but seriously. I have a three-dog maximum,” Autumn chuckled.
Alex chuckled too. “Right. I don’t really want three dogs. Maybe like, one.”
