"A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Langton," she said as she took his hand with a smile. "I'm Brooklyn Chelys. Shall we go back to my office?"
mOth GIRL COME MORROW I WANT ANOTHER RP WITH YOU
Alex straightened up with a nod. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, too.” He smiled warmly. “Yes, let’s.” He gave a slight bow, indicating that she lead the way.
"You don't have to bow," Brooklyn chuckled as she turned to lead the way.
Alex gave a gentle laugh. “Sorry.” He tailed her, rubbing the back of his head.
"No worries. Is this your first meeting with a producer?" Brooklyn asked as she stepped into an office to the left side of the hall.
Alex nodded. “It is. I’ve been producing stuff on my own for a while, but I think having a producer would be a good idea.”
Brooklyn held the door open for him. "Really? Well, you're well dressed for your first meeting."
Alex took the door and walked in after her, smiling. “A good friend helped me construct it. I’ll tell her you sent her compliments.” He laughed.
"You do that. She deserves it," Brooklyn chuckled. She shut the door, and featured to a chair. "Take a seat."
Alex grinned. “She does indeed.” He sat down in the featured chair, crossing his hands neatly over his lap.
(Skip to the end of the meeting?)
(Yes please)
Brooklyn stood up and stuck her hand out. "It was a pleasure to meet you. I look forward to doing business with you."
Alex rose too, grinning as he took her hand. “It was a pleasure, too.” He beamed happily. “I look forward to it, too, thank you, Ms. Chelys.”
"Call me Brooklyn," she said with a smile. "Have a great rest of your evening."
Alex gave another slight bow. “Thank you for seeing me, Brooklyn. You have a great rest of your day, too.”
Brooklyn sat back down in her seat and looked at some paperwork. Alex was dismissed.
Alex took it as such and trotted out, humming happily. He did a little dance in the hall before walking out to the reception area, wishing Sarah a good day, then outside to hail a taxi.
(Skip?)
(Sure. The Not-Date TM?)
(To the Totally-Not-A-Date TM!)
(Lol.)
Autumn was checking herself out in the mirror for the millionth time, making sure that she liked okay. Why did she even care? It's not like it was that big of a deal! Just pizza and games between a couple of friends.
With a sigh, she patted her white tshirt to straighten it out over her black skinny jeans. Her hair was thrown up into a simple high-ponytail.
Alex had stripped his tux with relief, carefully folding it up back into the tailor’s bag and into his baggage. He threw on a lopey yet graceful gray tee with a graying white flannel with ripped whitewashed jeans. He tied on his shoes and walked out the door, fluffing out his hair.
Autumn bit her lip as she checked the time. 6:53… He should be at her apartment in seven minutes…
He was there about three minutes later. Four minutes early. He straightened his shoulders and knocked on the door happily.
Autumn jumped at the knock. He was early!
Taking a deep breath, she made her way over to the door and opened it with a smile. "Hey, Alex! Come right on in!"
Alex smiled back. “Hi Autumn!” He stepped into the apartment, grinning. “You look great!”
"Oh, thanks! So do you," Autumn said as she closed the door. "Make yourself at home. I didn't order pizza, yet, since I don't know what you want on it."
Alex blew a raspberry and flopped his hands out. “I look like a train wreck. Just like I wanted. Pizza? I usually just get extra cheese with onion on it.”
"All right, so extra cheese, half onion, half meat lovers," Autumn said to herself so she would remember it. "Do you want anything to drink while I order?"
“Mmm… Anything. Soda would be great if it’s not a problem.” He grinned at her.
