Alex took a game and handed it down to her. They did this for a bit, until they heard a knock on the door.

Autumn set a box down on a pile and stood.
"I'll get it," she said as she walked to the door. She smiled at the pizza man, paid for the food, then closed the door and turned back to Alex. Holding up the pizza box, she declared, "We've got pizza!"

Alex stumbled over the boxes excitedly. “Great! It smells amazing, even from here!” He nearly tripped on his face from his excitement to get over to her.

"I just don't want you to hurt yourself," Autumn said, grabbing plates. She picked the pizza back up and sat next to Alex with a smile, handing him a plate.
