"That's not true. Everyone knows that second place is the first loser," Autumn countered, opening her eyes.
mOth GIRL COME MORROW I WANT ANOTHER RP WITH YOU
“The fastest loose the race.” Alex grinned after his whimsical piece of advice.
(Lose, not loose.)
"…But I was still first? So that doesn't really apply here?" Autumn said, giving him a weird look.
(Ugh rookie mistake)
Alex returned the look, except with a grin. “It does apply here.”
(You'd be surprised. A lot of people make that mistake.)
"I don't think so," Autumn said, shaking her head.
(My friend says hi, by the way. And I honestly wouldn’t be.)
“I think so.” Alex beamed.
(Hi, Emi's friend!)
"Of course you think so! You're the one arguing for it!" Autumn scoffed, rolling her eyes.
Alex laughed. “Don’t get all uptight about it. I’m kiiiidiiiingggg.”
Autumn grinned at him. "You seem to forget that I'm an actress. I was acting."
Alex put his hands on her face. “You’re such a good actress.”
Autumn scrunched up her nose and stuck her tongue out. "I can't argue with that, since it's true, but you didn't have to mention it…"
Alex littered her face with kisses. “You deserve to be told it.”
"Stahhhhp," Autumn groaned, biting back a smile.
Alex nibbled her cheek and stopped. “Alright. Let’s watch the movie.”
Autumn rolled her eyes and pressed a quick, soft kiss to his lips. She pulled her legs closer to herself and rested her head on his shoulder as they watched their movie.
Alex smiled and leaned his head on hers, then started humming unconciously. He curled his arm around her, relaxing.
Hearing Alex humming, Autumn remembered their earlier conversation and smirked. She kissed his cheek before whispering in his ear, "You still owe me that song."
Alex rolled his eyes a little. He snuggled his nose into her face and whispered back, “And why do I owe you?”
"Because you promised. You wouldn't want to break a promise to your girlfriend, would you?" Autumn teased, still whispering as she pressed a feather-light kiss to his jaw.
Alex chuckled. “Ah, my distraction had worked for an hour or so. Alright, I guess I will.”
"Great!" Autumn exclaimed, pulling back a bit. "Now or after the movie?"
“Whenever you’d like, dear.” Alex chuckled weakly.
Autumn raised an eyebrow at him and shrugged. "Let's finish our movie, first."
Alex hummed and looked back at the TV. “Wonderful idea.”
Autumn sighed contentedly and snuggled closer into Alex's side. She leaded her head on his should again as she watched the figures crossing the screen.
Alex rubbed her shoulders gently and leaned his head on hers again, smiling a little. On the inside, he felt nervous. What would she think of his song?
(Skip?)
(Sure. I guess I'll start. Lol.)
The movie came to an end and the credits rolled. Autumn hummed "Safe & Sound" as it played on the tv, moving to it a little. She liked the song and had actually sung it for an audition once.
Alex looked down at her as she shifted in a dance. He smiled a little. “Like the song?”
"Yeah, it's one of my favorites," Autumn admitted, looking up at him with a sheepish smile.
Alex kissed her nose. “It’s a really good song. I like it a lot too.”
