Kayla jumped at the sound of the doorbell and paused her movie. She glanced down at herself and wiped the chip crumbs off of her light blue shirt before standing.

She wasn't expecting company today, and Autumn was spending the week with Alex, so who could be at the door? Names ran through her mind as she made her way over, and she gave the door a wary look for a moment before opening it.

"J! What are you doing here?" she exclaimed, throwing her arms around him.

J wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. “I wanted to see my favorite person ever today!” He beamed at the sight of her. He’d missed her. A lot.

Kayla blushed a bit when J looked her over. "I am comfy. I wasn't expecting company today," she explained with a chuckle as she made her way to the kitchen.

"No problem," Kayla said, grabbing a can from the fridge and making her way back over to J.

J took the can gently and cracked it open. He slugged it down in a few gulps and set the empty can down.
“Thanks babe.” He hugged her into him.

Kayla giggled slightly and kissed his cheek. "You're welcome. What do you want to do?"

"Great!" Kayla said as she sat beside him and snuggled up close. She picked up the remote and pressed play, then rested her head on his shoulder.
