Gray’s POV:
“No,” I said immediately before shaking my head. “I mean, yes. I would. Trust me, Vy, I would. But there’s no way I would go far if you’re hesitant. I care about you more than anything. I want to protect you and care for you, and that doesn’t include taking the next steps in our relationship. I can care for you without going beyond kisses.”
I pressed my hands against my cheeks for a few seconds, trying to calm myself down. I wish we didn’t have to think about this, I thought, immediately ashamed of myself.
“R-Right.”
Gray’s POV:
I sat up slowly, spreading my arms with a gentle look on my face.
“Come here,” I said to her softly.
His voice beckoned me, harsh syllables softening, and I was powerless to refuse.

Gray’s POV:
I pulled her on to my lap, wrapping my arms around her tightly.
“I love you,” I whispered to her. “I love you to the moon and back. Hell, I’ll love you till death pulls me away from you. There’s nothing in the world that I wouldn’t do to make you happy. And Vy, as long as you’re comfortable, nothing matters. I want you, that’s true. I want you terribly, but I’m always going to step back when I feel myself losing control because I want your first time—our first time to be special. For you. So please, please, my goddess, never force yourself thinking it’ll satisfy me. If you’re satisfied, I’m satisfied.”
I burrowed gratefully into his arms, my face tucked into his shouider. “Thank you…” I murmured, heart thundering. “I-I love you more than you can imagine. I hope you understand that.”
Gray’s POV:
“I do,” I whispered. “I’m never going to let you walk away from me. You’re mine forever.”
I smothered a slight flinch. Of course I knew he meant well, but his word choice was strangely unnerving at the moment.
Gray’s POV:
“Do you want to change?” I questioned in a murmured, eyes closed.
I blinked rapidly to clear my head, wrapping my arms around my middle. “Yeah. I’ll—Yeah.”
Gray’s POV:
I reluctantly let her go, giving her a kiss on the cheek.
“I’ll take the other bathroom,” I said, running a hand through my hair.
Nodding, I pulled away. “I’ll just grab my pyjamas… do you have. Sweater I can wear?”
Gray's POV:
"I do, but it would be big on you," I murmured, standing up and stretching. I still wanted to pull her down and kiss her, but I held myself back. I was already scaring her. I didn't want to do more damage. "I'll go get it."
“It’s supposed to be big on me,” I murmured, tugging lightly at my skirt. “That’s the whole point.”
Gray’s POV:
I grinned, walking over to my suitcase. I had decided not to unpack, mostly because I didn’t see the point. I unzipped it and reached out for the comfiest sweater, taking it out. It was dark blue in color and there wasn’t anything written on it, either. I handed it to Violeta, hesitating before giving her a kiss on the forehead as well.
“There you go,” I murmured, lips hovering right over her forehead, barely touching.
I shifted until I was kneeling, raising my body until Gray's lips were pressed firmly to my forehead. "Thanks, love." Clutching the soft hoodie to my chest, I smiled up at him.
Gray’s POV:
I smiled back, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.
“You look beautiful,” I reminded her. “I love you.”
"I love you too," I answered, leaning into his caresses.
After a pause, I lowered my eyes. "Can I ask you something?"
Gray’s POV:
I hummed, nodding.
“Ask away,” I murmured, losing myself in her eyes.
"Don't get mad at me," I said quickly, feeling my gut twist. "I won't be jealous or bitchy or anything. I just want to know….."
Was this really a good idea? To ask him this?
"Have you had a lot of girlfriends, in the past?"
Gray’s POV:
I sighed at her question. I suppose it wasn’t her fault for being curious. I was a notorious playboy. It was understandable why she’d ask.
“No, no girlfriends,” I replied honestly. “I didn’t like commitment. I made that known to whoever I… interacted with.”
"No girlfriends?" I sounded surprised—and I was. Yes, he'd told me that he'd refrained from creating something long-term with people because of his past and sister, but it seemed unfathomable to me that this amazing, lovable man had never been in a relationship before.
“Why do you sound so surprised?” I quirked an eyebrow. “Is it because of my nature, and the fact that I have had no girlfriend in the past sounds unbelievable?”
Honestly, even if I could change things, I wouldn’t have a girlfriend. I was perfectly content in calling Vy my first girlfriend, and my first love. That wouldn’t change. Ever.
I thumped his chest lightly. "It is because of you nature, but not in the way that you think. You're just so…. lovable. Amazing. In every way… I guess I was just surprised that I'm the first to be with you."
Gray’s POV:
My heart skipped a beat and I might have turned pink, but I brushed it off with a grin. She thought I was lovable? Amazing?
“I’m only this way with you,” I murmured, kissing her on the nose. “Because you’re special. You’re the first one who made me think, ‘I want her.’”
I pulled him onto the bed and slipped into his lap, affectionately bumping our noses together. And I swear, if heart eyes were possible in real life, I'd be doing them right now.
"I…." My breath hitched. "I think I should just paint the words 'thank you' across my forehead so that you won't get tired of me saying them."
Gray’s POV:
My breath hitched in my throat the second she pushed me on the bed and settled on my lap. I swear, she was doing this on purpose.
“You know, you could always change your tactics. Not that I hate hearing you say that. It makes me know you like what I do,” I murmured. “But kiss me every time instead of saying thank you.”
I answered this by sliding my arms over his shoulders and pressing my still-swollen mouth to his, only this tome in a much softer, almost tender kiss.
"Like this?"
Gray’s POV:
I kissed her back just as softly, cupping her cheeks gently, moving my mouth against hers.
“Yeah,” I breathed out. “Like that.”
"We should kiss like this more often…" I murmured against his soft, inviting lips. "I really like it when we kiss like this…"
