(Probably her name to start, that triggers something, but then she says something about their school to someone on her phone. Little things like that.)

(I get it! Give me a second)
It was a few weeks until Christmas, snow resting gently on the trees, glistening under the sun light. The cold air wiped your back, chilling you on the inside. It was the perfect day to stop by a local bakery or coffee shop in between work schedules, to get a hot coffee, and a warm treat to go with it. The people of this town had Christmas spirit for sure, the town was covered with glittering snow, beautiful green trees with red, blue, gold, or silver ornaments dangling off the pine branches. The bell tower was wrapped in garlands, and ribbons, up to the tippy-top. The streets were lined with lights, that dazzled the streets at night.
Most would enjoy it, but Brett Taylor wasn't fond of the Christmas season. Brett worked at one of the only Starbucks in town. It was a nightmare from October to January. Everyone always ordered pumpkin or Peppermint, and he couldn't stand to make another pumpkin latte. But if he wanted to keep his job, he'd have to. Brett was making the 1,276th order of a eggnog frappuccino, expecting any minute for the person to come back to tell him that they hated it, and would like to exchange the drink. This happened on a routine basis, and he had memorized the schedule perfectly. They get their drink, they take about 5 minutes to realize they hate it, they come back and ask for either a peppermint or a pumpkin spice instead. He called out for the next order. "Eggnog Frapp for Christina." He shouted. He set it on the counter, and went to the next order.
"Hey, Brett, can you work an extra shift? You'll get paid extra, and you can run the register. Amanda's out of town, and won't be back until after Christmas." His boss said. Brett sighed. "I guess I don't have much of a choice huh? Put me down for it, I'll call my sister and tell her to push dinner later." He said walking to the back of the store to make a phone call. After he hung up, he walked to the front counter, and looked at the new costumer. "Hi, welcome to Starbucks, how can I help you today?" He said to the lady in front of him.

Azelea, on the other hand, loved Christmas and everything about it. But, she was extremely lowkey about it.
Though the eggnogs, sitting by the fireplace with a great big pizza and cozy blankets and The Office playing.
Yes, celebrating her singleness on Christmas was her second favorite thing about the holiday. Her first…..
Actually having a boyfriend for once. Though that won't happen. After that last relationship, she didn't believe she could catch and reel in any other. Three years ago…..
"snap out of it Izzy! You have to be there by four! That's the goal you set for yourself! No daydreaming! Though….. I guess that's more reminiscing than daydreaming…." Azelea says looking up to the sky on her way to the coffee shop, letting her braids fall over her shoulder. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, straightening her posture and continuing to walk.
She put on her confident look, more like an RBF (resting B$%#& Face) than anything. Catcalls as she walked by with an eye-roll.
yeah….. instead of living out her dream on Christmas…. this…. this is what she had to deal with.
She entered the coffee shop confidently, trying to smile at whoever smiled at her. 50/50 with success.
It was hard man! She didn't want to be here! The last thing she wanted to do was be here! Actually….. not the last thing.
It was the coffee shop after all. Though she's never been here. She just moved here this January and it was already…..
What was it? Agh, she forgot again. Though she never cared until someone asked her and then she just felt plain out stupid.
She walked up to the counter to spot…..
"well daaaaaaaaang. you fine" She says under her breath as she spotted the worker. His name tag reading Brett on it.
Yeah, he was fine alright. More than that… to her at least. And honestly, to probably anyone.
She stepped up to him and looked over the menu "okay pretty boy….. what's your favorite here. I don't want any of that mint or eggnog crap. I bet you guys are tired of fixing that" SHe says with a little laugh.
Brett smiled some. "Yeah, I've made about… 1,300 today, and honestly the eggnog is just plain nasty. But I really shouldn't say that. Honestly, my favorite? Probably cinnamon vanilla mocha latte, with white chocolate shavings." He noted. "If that's what you want, can I get your name?" He gently smiled.
group
"yeah, just put Izzy if that's alright," She says with a smile. Her phone rang in her pocket, an anime opening ringing through the fabric. She slid it out and answered. "hello? Yeah this is Azelea Taylor, whaddya want?" She says into the phone, leaning on the counter, getting her wallet out and trying to find some cash in her wallet.
All she had was her debit card, which she didn't really want to use.
"what? I thought I was done with Hemmington….. oh come on give me a break, It was in middle school. Okay okay, whatever. Bye" She rolled her eyes and shoved her phone into her back pocket. She looked at Brett with a smile, then back down at her wallet pulling out a ten, handing it to him. "keep the time hon" She says with a wink
Brett blinked. "Izzy Taylor!?" He half shouted, looking at her. Yup That was definitely her. He gritted his teeth and set her cup on the counter next to one of the barista's.

She turned around in confusion. "uh. yeah? What is it pretty boy?" She says raising an eyebrow and crossing her arms.
What was all of this fuss about?
He gritted his teeth harder, and frowned. "You probably don't remember me, But I'm Brett Taylor. We went to school together." He said balling his fists up.
(OOF we have the same last name XD)
group
(I kinda like it though XD, i did ust notice that too! Maybe when they get to know eachother, people could always just assume they were like, married or something and they would just get really flustered or something. IF not her last name in this could just be grace or something)
group
"uh, no sorry. I think you have the wrong person. Anyway, thanks! Have a nice day" She says reaching for her cup with a smile. Who the heck was this dude!?
(Nah I like that XD)
He groaned. "You too." He Knew it was her. And now he was in a sour mood for the rest of the day.
group
(okay lol)
She almost glared at him as she walked away. She had written her number on the ten that she gave him, and now was regretting it. She sat down at one of the tables and opening her computer, taking a sip of her drink and started typing.
Brett looked at the ten in his hands. 'That little jerk doesn't remember!' He thought. He ungreatfuly helped other costumers, wanting not to be there any more. He was so ready to leave.
group
She looked back at him and felt somewhat bad….
Only because he cant even remember something. "Poor thing. Must have memory loss or something." She thought to herself and turned back to her computer.
Brett finished the shift, and gathered his stuff. He shuffled out the door onto the sidewalk outside of the shop. He walked to his car, and almost screamed. "NOOOOO!!!!" He cried throwing his stuff on the hood of the car. He knelt down next to the now flat tire. "Come on! The second time this week! And now I don't have a spare to replace it!" He groaned. This was terrible. He ran a hand through his hair, and banged hi head against the side of his vintage buick. "Why…?" He slumped onto the ground.
group
Ironically enough Azelea had just gotten done with her work and had been walking out with a black coffee with whipped cream on it. She looked at the flat tire, then to kid from earlier. Brett was his name? "yo, do you need some help? Ive gotta spare in my truck." She cocked her hip to the side with her hand on it.
Brett looked up alarmed. He turned and saw Lizzy standing there. "Would…would you? Even though I was…kinda rude to you earlier?" He said standing up brushing off the bit of snow from his clothes.
group
She shivered a bit, though smiled at him. "Yeah sure it's fine. I figured you were having a rough day so I let it go" SHe says with a shrug. She stepped forward and reached her hand out for him. "come on. It's a little chilly. If you would give me a hand with getting the tire that would be great." She smiled at him.
