"Sad, I can't imagine ever wearing them they seem very uncomfortable." He said to her.

"Sad, I can't imagine ever wearing them they seem very uncomfortable." He said to her.

“Well originally men wore heels to appear taller and more formidable,” She shot back.
group
"Maybe because those guys were insecure about their height and didn't feel confident. Is it now like that with girls?" he joked at her.
group
“In 15th century Persia, soldiers wore them to help better secure the feet to stirrups and then Persian immigrants wore the shoe trend to Europe and soon nobles wore the shoes and decided to only allow noble men to wear them. And no it’s not, thank you, we only wear them because it is our stereotype and is required, apparently.” She said. “Just like dresses and the color pink. Originally boys wore dresses and pink,”
group
"That I know, it was until wwii because of some events that happened during and preceding the war."
group
“I already am bored of talking about this,” She laughed. “To the dining hall,” She walked in the direction of a large hedge maze.
group
He smiled a little then followed her to the dining hall, not actually knowing the location.
group
“Let’s hope I remember whether to turn left or right,” She said, mainly to herself. She entered the maze, and checked to make sure he was following. “Don’t get yourself lost in here since I hope you’d like to have dinner today and not next week,”
group
"Why don't we just go back the way we walked in?" He asked her making sure to be right behind her. "also… WHY THE HELL DO YOU HAVE A FULL ON MAZE HERE?"
group
“The dining hall is a separate building, and the maze is a mandatory safety piece,” She said. “To complete the maze when you have never been or haven’t mapped it out would take around a week more or less. If you use it almost daily, like me, it should take about 3-4 minutes,”
group
"….Intriguing." He said then nodded and looked around as they walked.
group
“Does no other kingdom do this?” She asked. She turned right, into a dead end. She started to feel around the edges of the hedge. Her fingers latched onto a metal bar and she pulled. “Before you answer that, please don’t do anything sudden,”
group
He nodded. "Um why?"
group
“Beca-“ She was cut off as the trap doors opened, and the trap doors so happened to be the ‘floor’. Kieara quickly picked up her skirts and braced herself to land in her heels. Her feet hit the floor a bit hard and a jolt ran through her. She dropped her skirts and brushed out the wrinkles.
group
Christopher ended up in a sitting position when he landed and immediately stood up, "What was that."
group
“The reason we’re not having dinner next week,” She walked over to him and offered a hand.
“Graceful landing Prince,” Evelyn said, appearing. “Dinner is being served in 2 minutes so you better hurry,”
group
He took her hand and stood up. "Which way now, might i ask." he asked.
group
“Just here,” Kieara said and walked over to a set of tall, white painted doors. Evelyn opened them and held them for the pair.
group
He walked in and looked around the room, "Was the maze really necessary?"
group
“It was the closest entrance at the time,” Kieara said. “So, yes, yes it was,” She took her place at the table.
group
He sat down at a spot at the table he assumed nobody would sit at. "Well, I am guessing you could get here by not going through the maze."
group
“There is an entrance in the castle as well,” Evelyn said, filling the glasses with a bright red liquid. “You have about 1 minute until dinner,” She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, her usual braid now gone.
group
"Of course there is." he said with a smile. "Drinking some blood I see. you vampire, you."
group
“You’re so weird,” Kieara commented. “Kieara,” Evelyn looked at her. “Hi,” The doors opened again, this the chef and 5 of the staff members appearing. “And dinner is served, enjoy. I will be leading you back to your room after, Prince Christopher,” Evelyn curtsied then left.
group
He smiled nodded then started eating, "Enjoying your blood princess?" he joked at one point.
group
“Do I look like a vampire? Does this look like blood?” She asked. “No and no,”
group
"Fine, Fine…" He replied then finished his food. "just suspicious red liquid."
group
(I have to go for today, I need actual sleep. Until later)
“Suspicious red liquid, okay,” She lay her utensils down neatly on her plate.
“Princess Kieara you should be heading back now,” Ev said, returned. Kieara nodded and stood. “Prince Christopher, please follow me,”
group
(Alright)
He nodded and went to go follow the maid to get back to his room in this maze of a castle.
group
“I suppose you’ll need a map during your stay here, I can fetch that for you later,” Evelyn said. She turned the corner and started to walk up a flight of stairs.
