She looked away a bit with a sigh as he talked about how gorgeous and beautiful all the girls of the school were. She couldn't help but feel bitter every time he mentioned that 'the ladies want him and he wants the ladies'
He's made mutiple comments on her finding someone and how she's attractive too but apparently not attractive enough for him to consider her.
Not that she cared…she was long over any feelings about him and now she just felt slightly better. She still didn't want to go on any dates with any guys even despite her not liking him anymore.
She looked back at him,
"look, it's nothing to worry about lu, I'm just..really tired. I didn't didn't a good sleep last night." She was only partially lying to Luca, she did have a bad sleep but there was plenty of reason to aid to her bad sleep that she had never told him. She never wanted to tell him to be honest. Last time he tried to prie into her life she snapped at him, and he didn't back off so she didn't speak to him for a couple days before he came and apologized. It was clear how much her past meant to her, and she didn't want it to be found out what it was. She would talk if she was ready to talk, or at least that was what she said. She probably would never tell him if she was being honest.
She didn't want him to worry so she hasn't said anything. It was nice enough just to have a friend by her side.

"If you say so." He bumped her shoulder playfully. "Cheer up, Rach. Maybe this party will get you in the state of mind you need to be in. Have some fun, drink a little, and maybe kiss someone a little." Luca teased. "Alright, since there are some things I have to do to get ready for the party. You, my friend, will be on your own from here on till 8. Where do you want me to pick you up? You seem to have a different place every time. I have to make sure I'm not picking up the wrong girl. Also…" He stopped in front of Rachel and held her shoulders. "Dress cute. You hold yourself back and look like you own the place because you do. You always do, okay? I will see you at eight, and don't be late." He warned.

She bumped his shoulder back playfully, though probably a little bit rougher then he initially did.
She rolled her eyes as he made his typical party related comments, she did think about from time to time. Though she hated the idea of drinking because of her father and the fact that he used to drink, and that's what affected a good portion of her life.
She would do anything to stay away from becoming like he did, she would never become like him. She would rather die before she became like him.
"Mhm." Was all she responded with, not really feeling like applying her full effort for the most of his talking. She shrugged at his location question, "don't worry, I'll text you the location I need to be picked up from.'
He suddenly put his hands on her shoulder and she lifted a brow.
"What's wrong with how I'm dressed now?" She huffed slightly at him, rather liking her plain outfit and combatt boots.
"I'm still wearing camo."

Luca dipped his head. "I'm never going to get you to stop wearing camo, am I? What you have on now is casual wear, Rach. You something that brings out your beauty, you know. Then again, you usually come in casual wear every time we go out to a party even though I tell you not to. You're hopeless. Okay, You figure out what you're going to wear and make it danceable because I will be bringing you out to the dance floor and dancing with me. I can guarantee that. He jumped with a ding coming from his phone. He read the text and tapped Rachel. "I am going to go hang out with the guys. One of them has challenged me to a game of pool. Of course, I'm going to win. I will see you later!" He jogged to his friend, walking farther in front of them. He ruffled his hair, which was gelled and neatly styled. That friend ended up chasing him back to where they usually hang out. Even though he was in college, he still acted like a little kid.

She listened to him talk his big paragraph of speech.
"Glad to see you have so much faith in me Lu. You know I would rather be comfortable then look fancy. Plus I don't care about being attractive to boys.'
She shrugged, before hearing talk of him dancing with her.
"Wait lu I'm not- dang it." She sighed. Failing to catch him before he left to hang out with the boys. She did not do dancing. She couldn't even dance herself so there's no way she was gonna let him drag her onto the dance floor.
Even if it meant spending some semblance of time with him.
She didn't want too if it meant dancing.
She watched him from a distance before letting out a sigh and making her way into her class and setting her stuff down.
She figured the lecture was gonna be boring but she never found them interesting in the first place. Most of time she skipped unless it was a test day.

After hanging out with his friends and going to lectures, he drove home and prepared for the party. Not only was he excited he was also anxious. Luca was very confident that he would find someone for Rachel. Someone perfect for her that she trusts and can open up to. He doesn't know much about Rachel, sometimes it bothers him, but he figured maybe she could open up to the person she found. It was already 7:30 when he got a text as to the location of where to pick up Rachel. He got dressed in a simple white t-shirt with black jeans. He put in his usual black earring and combed his hair so it wasn't as messy as before. Luca checked his smell and many other things to ensure he was his best self tonight. "Alright, time to go get Rachel."

She was adjusting the jacket around her dress, moving to zip it up over the top half of her dress. She felt stupid, and she felt like she looked stupid or like she was trying to hard. Why had she even gotten this stupid thing? It felt uncomfortable. How did some girls even do this all the time?
At least she was wearing her black combatt boots instead of heels. That was a bit of a comfort to her.
She sighed, coming a hand through her hair.
She checked the time on her phone.
maybe I still have enough time to go home and change into something else.
She moved to leave but saw Lucas car pulling up and she froze on the spot tempted to bolt home.
She didn't though.
She just stared at him.
"Say anything and I will punch you into next week Lu."
She usually threatened people when she was insecure about stuff.

"H-Huh, no, no I wasn't going to say anything I just thought…um." He opened the door from his side of the car. "You look amazing, Rach. You look absolutely stunning. You know I would never lie to you." He stared back at Racheal. He never expected something like this from Rachel. Not in a million years. He was happy and he also saw something new in her something that he would've never seen if she didn't decide to come tonight. "It suits you. I'm glad you didn't completely change your style. You should dress like this every once in a while. I'm sure you feel good about yourself too." Luca bumped her shoulder. "Okay, enough of the sappy shit, time for a party!"

"Good." She huffed at him, but she wasn't expecting the compliments that came out of his mouth after the first sentence.
She may or may not have blushed slightly as he spoke about how beautiful she was and she looked away in embarrassment. She huffed at him, punching his shoulder lightly.
"You sure you aren't lying?" She was trying to make a joke, but in reality it was just her insecurities speaking to through it. Her dad used to verbally abuse her everyday about what she would wear, along with foster homes she had been in…so that's why she didn't want to wear anything special like this.
"Feel good? If I wasn't in my combatts this would have been one of the times where I'm extremely uncomfortable with this stupid dress." She muttered, letting out her complaints.
She moved to get into the passenger side of the car.
"Yeah yeah. On to the party."

The car driver didn't feel too long; however, they ran a bit late because of traffic. The house seemed like the part had started ages ago. There was colored light that lit up the night. People would stumble out from the backyard drunk, wet from the pool, or in a bathing suit. He chuckled as he spotted one of his friends, trying to put the moves on a girl but miserably failing. "Alright, this is the place." He put the car into park and turned it off. He then got out of the jeep and opened the door for Rachel. "After you." He bowed slightly. He was joking. Of course, he was usually never this kind. He would sometimes tell her to get out of the car herself, but tonight was different. Rachel was dressed so nicely; it was only fitting that Luca treated her like the wonderful woman she is. "A party awaits for the both of us, and yes, we will be dancing, no objections."
