In the year 2077, Jack Harper works as a security repairman on an Earth left empty and devastated after a war with aliens. Jack has two weeks left before his mission ends and he joins his fellow survivors on a faraway colony. However, Jack's concept of reality comes crashing down after he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. The woman's arrival triggers a chain of events that culminates in Jack's nearly single-handed battle to save mankind.

I literally just copied a movie plot, so yeah. I'll be Jack, and this will be rated R for spicyness, angst, and gore

A template will be posted when someone joins!

@Carrots

So this was one of our old roleplays that I can't find, since it is buried about 15 pages back

Would you want to reboot this?

Name: Jack Harper

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Straight

Appearance: He's around 6'0, but is probably on the shorter side of it. He has tanned skin from over a year on the devastated Earth, and a long scar that goes from the back of his head to the middle of his back, noticeable from the fact that his hair would never grow over it. His eyes were a sharp hazel color that would stare right through people at certain times, and his hair was a sun-bleached dirty blonde. His entire left arm was replaced by a cybornetic implant.

Style: A standard issue white military jumpsuit with a hood and cloaking device installed into it.

Personality: He is a reserved, intelligent young man that has a tenancy to take things much more seriously than he should. He strives to try to make the people around him better, but doesn't always know how. He doesn't say much, so when he speaks he often commands attention. Anytime he's told to do something from someone he respects, he follows it to a T from his years as a front-line soldier.

Fears: Quiet places

Likes: Honest people and safe places

Dislikes: Aliens (duh)

Other: None

What day was it? Tuesday? No, that was the day he found that broken CD player. He still hadn't fixed it yet, sadly. Jack just didn't have the tools, nor the mechanical schools to do so. The old tech had way too many wires and shit like that.

The day. Stay focused….ah! It's Thursday! He glanced over at his alarm clock and frowned at the time. 6:30? His alarm wouldn't go off for another hour. Why was he woken up?

The ground shaking beneath him told him why. It was so violent that he was tossed from his bed like a ragdoll that was set on top of a running dryer. His head smacked against the ground and left him dazed for a few moments. When he finally recovered, he threw the blankets off of his body and pulled on a pair of pants before running outside.

A burning wreckage had burrowed itself about half a mile away from his base, digging a crater so deep all he could see was the light coming from a fire of some sort and smoke trailing into the sky like a beacon.

Without bothering to put on more clothes, he jumped into his vehicle and shut the door, starting the engine and speeding towards the crater. Fucking hell, are the aliens shooting each other, now? He reached up and took the shock rifle that was hanging from the ceiling, checking the power cell with one hand as he simultaneously kept the ATV from swerving out of control. Half powered. Not optimal, but it would have to do.

At first everything was fine. The ship was in working order, Brooke didn’t have to fear the silence that incased her this time as it was comfortable. But the flashing of warning signs were so violent and sudden that the pilot jumped out of the best sleep she’d had for… well she couldn’t even remember how long.

Once the warning lights stared then the sirens went. Danger. Aliens. Those bloody aliens again. Her ship had taken enough damage as it was and she didn’t know how much more it could take without it failing completely. She cursed, head ringing slightly as she got ready for battle.

But then the sirens stopped. This silence was not comfortable. It was deafening without there even being noise. it all happened so quickly she didn’t have time to register the blast that hit her from behind that sent the ship spinning and spinning down to the ground.

Brooke braced for impact, the force of the crash so violent that even her seatbelt couldn’t hold her and she banged into the side of the ship. The world was ringing and spinning and wouldn’t stay still. Her body ached which she supposed was normal or a crash so bad.

Jack parked the giant ATV about 100 meters away from the crater, putting the vehicle in park and jumping out of the thing. The snow was cold as hell against his bare feet, but he paid it no mind as he hustled to the edge and ran down to the ship. The small patches of fire on the ground glinted against his chrome arm like tiny spotlights.

There was a gaping hole in the starboard side, the jagged opening appearing to look like a gaping mouth that beckoned him to walk inside.

He didn't. Instead, he powered on the rifle and jimmied the stock into his shoulder, keeping the barrel pointed to the ground for the time being.

"Hello?" he called, grinding his teeth in anticipation. If there was an alien in there, he was fairly certain he was fucked, but if it was a human ship, he couldn't just leave the person in their to die.

(Just imagine the arm looking like the Winter Soldier's)

@ElderGod-Carrots

Brooke groaned, her head pounding like a thousand meteros had crashed into her. Well, that was kind of what happened except she’d crashed into a planet. She was fairly certain the pain from her right shoulder meant it was dislocated but she couldn’t be sure with her brain all over the place.

The sound of someone calling out slightly dragged her from her post-crash state, giving her an anchor to focus on, “H-Hello…“ her voice was croaky and sore and incredibly dry and he inwardly cursed.

“A-A little help… p-please?” She knew she should save her voice but needed to let them know she clearly needed the help.

"Are you alone?" he asked, raising the rifle at the sound of someone's voice

The Aghartians were master mimicker's, able to copy the voice of a human almost to a T. So just hearing a voice in there didn't really quell any of his fears. However, the alien species work as a hive mind, so they are unable to say "I." Everything is "We" or "Us." If she answered this question correctly, he would walk inside and see what was wrong. If not, he'd get back in his ATV and leave her to die.

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Y-Yes. I-It’s just me…” Brooke breathed in deeply, sending herself into a coughing fit where she doubled over, trying to gain some control of her breathing. A sharp pain shit up her shoulder, making her hiss.

She knew the stranger was being cautious, she would be too but she didn’t want to stay in this broken ship any longer. She needed fresh air.

Jack nodded to himself. This was the response he wanted.

"Alright, I'm coming in," he said, slinging the rifle over his shoulder and pulling out a flashlight. "If you have a weapon, you better keep it pointed away from me."

He took a step inside of the ship, having to contort at odd angles to get through without touching the jagged edges of the hole.
"God damn…" he mumbled, stepping over some unidentifiable piece of wreckage that could have been a seat…or a control panel….or a bed. It was hard to tell. Eventually he made it into the cockpit, waving his organic hand in front of his face to try and keep the smoke out of his eyes and nose. Damn, he should have brought his gas mask. After a few moments, he turned the flashlight on and pointed it around int he dark, eventually finding the prone figure on the ground.

"Shit," he mumbled, rushing over and kneeling next to the woman. The first thing he noticed was that she was drop dead gorgeous, even with the blood trailing down from her hairline. "Hey, you hit your head or somethin'?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Brooke couldn’t even nod so she hummed a yes, slowly lifting her body upright once she’d finished coughing her guts up, “S-Seatbelt didn’t keep me in the bloody seat,” She mumbled, “Got… got thrown against the side of the ship on impact… pretty sure I’ve done my shoulder in.”

She took a few deep breathes, eventually looking up to the man that had come to help. She scanned his face for a moment, barely registering everything since her brain was all out of whack. If those aliens hadn’t hit her ship then he wouldn’t have to deal with her crap.

"Alright, alright. Yeah." he slipped his flashlight into his pocket and rubbed his hands together. "I'mma pick you up so we can get outta here, alright? It'll probably hurt, but not as much as the fuckin' ship exploding on you."

@ElderGod-Carrots

She managed to crack a small smile despite the pain, “No shit.” She adjusted herself a little to make it easier for him, biting down on her bottom lip to stop herself from crying out, “Th-Thank you.”

"Don't thank me too, man," he said, leaning over and slipping his arms underneath her body as gently as he could. "For all we know, one of those fuckers could be waiting for us as soon as we step out."

With a small grunt, he stood straight up, lifting her off of the ground and into a bridal position.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Brooke let out a small groan of pain, holding onto him with her good arm, “Fuck” She hissed. God damn her arm hurt. Her head was still pounding but it wasn’t as bad is it was earlier, some if her senses slowly coming back to her.

"Yeah, I know how you're feelin'," Jack mumbled as he walked out of the cockpit, trying to keep his arms as even as he could. Just rocking around a little too much seemed to hurt her. Eventually he reached the gaping hole in the side of it and leaned over, keeping a good distance away from the jagged edges as he slipped through. He straightened up as soon as they were out and glanced down at Brook. "Never caught your name."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Brooke by this point had closed her eyes again to stop the world spinning, “Brooklyn… but I go by Brooke,” She let her head fall against Jack’s chest, keeping it up too much of an effort, “And yours might be?”

"Jack," he mumbled, watching the sky as he hustled towards the ATV. Just as he suspected, the characteristic EEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH of an Aghartian ship entering the atmosphere reverberated in their ears. He had about 15 minutes 'til the aliens would reach the crash site. Not enough time for the ATV to get back home.

"Alright," he grumbled reaching the ATV and opening the passenger side door. "I'mma lift you into a seat. They're comfy as all hell, so it shouldn't hurt too bad."

@ElderGod-Carrots

The screeching of the alien ship sent her head back into a buzzing mess, a high pitched ringing making everything sound muffled. Brooke vaguely registered what Jack said and slightly nodded her head, “Got it.” She could feel herself slowly slipping into unconsciousness but forced herself to stay awake.

Without any issue, he pulled her up and into the ATV, making sure her feet weren't in the way before shutting the door. He wasted no time running to his side and throwing open the door, jumping inside and slamming his door.

"Now," he said, fiddling with a small sphere handing from his hip by a chain. "What you need to do next is a bit strange. You need to get into my lap. This cloaking device is only meant for one person, but it can fit two in a pinch like this. It just means we'll be a little uncomfortable for a while."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Brooke cracked a lopsided smile, “Damn tiger, we only just met and you already want me in your lap?” She hoped he’d she ir for the joke it was and the fact that joking around slightly distracted her from the pain she was in, “Aight then.”

Slowly, and painfully, she shifted herself into Jack’s lap. It was clearly obvious she was probably too light for her height and age but honestly she couldn’t really care.

After a few more minutes of fiddling, he set the sphere down and gently wrapped his arms around her waist.

"This ain't trying to cop a feel, I swear," he mumbled, scooting her even closer to his body, "But if even a fucking pinky toe is pocking out of the coverage zone, we're fucked six ways to Mars. Also, when they open that door, hold your breath. Their hearing is fucking incredible."

@ElderGod-Carrots

“I know. I get it.” She let out a soft sigh, resting her head against his chest again. Hopefully they’d be safe. She wasn’t a religious person but she sent out. A silent prayer to whatever god was watching then to keep them safe.
