He thought about, narrowing his eyes. "There are a couple coffee shops around, or some restaurants if we walk a little further down. It's a little early for dinner, mind you. We could try the movies, there's that new Springsteen movie? Or the park? Or…"
One-on-one (Closed, stalkers welcome)
She held her hand up. "The movies sounds cool. Wanna do that?"
"Yeah, let's! What movie?" he asked, grabbing a coat from a box beneath the table they were sat on.
"Didn't you say something about the new Springsteen movie? Never heard of it, but I have no better ideas," she replied with a laugh. Then she headed out the door to go downstairs and get her jacket. "Isn't it supposed to rain today?"
"Yeah, which is all the better for being locked in the cinema. The movie's called Blinded by the Light. Shall we walk?"
They stood in front of the door, and Theo pulled out his keys.

"Yeah, sure. I need the exercise anyway," she replied as she shrugged her jacket on and headed outside.

Theo nodded and pulled open the door for Piper, waving her outside with a small bow.

Timeskip: At the movie theater
They walked into the foyer of the theater, and headed to the line to buy tickets and popcorn and such. While they were waiting, she turned to him. "Isn't this kinda crazy?" she asked as she twiddled her fingers. "We just met not even a whole day ago, and now we're at the movies together?" It was weird, but she couldn't say that she hated it. Although, the entire time she'd been with him, there was a light flashing in her head. Sure, he was nice, but she couldn't get attached. She was thinking about calling it quits after the movie, just to be on the safe side.
Theo's widened, and he kept from turning to look at her. "Um, yeah, I guess. Believe it or not, though, I don't get out much. This is really nice and… especially cause it's with you."
Too much. Too much. What are you doing?
She continued to play with her fingers as a smile spread across her face. That was going to be harder than she thought. “Yeah, I’m having a good time too,” she said softly.
"That's good," Theo whispered nervously. She hadn't seemed to dislike what he'd said so, maybe… It was their turn.
Theo ordered then a medium extra butter popcorn, a bag sour patch kids and two bottles of water. "Anything else?" he asked her.
She shook her head. “Nope, that should do it, although I want you to know I eat a lot. Just a warning.” She replied with a short laugh.
Theo's face broke into a relieved grin— they were still casually talking. "Let's go then."
They quicklyade their way over to the counter, who directed them towards Cinema 6. Hesitating slightly, Theo offered Piper his arm.
She reached out, her movements a tad slow, and looped her arm in his. The light in her brain was flashing again, but she decided to turn it off until after the movie was over. “Are you a talker?” She asked after a bit of awkward silence. “I mean, do you talk a lot during movies?”
Theo frowned. "No. Anyone who does is no good in my book. Oh…" He bit his lip, looking over at Piper. "Are you?"
She shook her head vigorously. “It boils my blood, that’s why I asked you,” she held out her hands. “Why not just wait till the movies over? It’s really not that hard.”
Theo smiled in relief. "Right, exactly." They were right outside the cinema. He checked the numbers of their seats and held the double doors open for Piper.
“Thanks,” she mumbled as she ducked into the theater. There weren’t many people there, so there were plenty of good seats available. They headed to the back of the theater together, and sat down with their snacks. The previews hadn’t even started yet, so the room was dim but not completely dark.
A few rows back some rowdy teens sat playing an unknown handgame. "Youngins, what can you do?" Theo muttered.
She send a smirk on his direction. “You know, I don’t understand why they make previews so long. You could be twenty minutes late and get there when the movie hasn’t even started yet,” she mused.
"I think it's for people like me who have no ability to be on time. They don't want anyone to miss the start of the movie!"
She laughed and nudged him. “You were on time this afternoon, right? When I showed up to your house you were already there.”
"Yeah, but I live there. I was also in the middle of painting something, unaware of the time that had flown," he said dramatically. "So technically, I was not ready on time."
She hummed. “So what I’m hearing is, you’re late all the time. I guess that paid off this morning though, since if you weren’t running late we wouldn’t have met.” When the words came out of her mouth, she was a tad bit surprised by them. It hadn’t even been a whole day yet? She felt like she’d known him for forever.
Theo was glad it was dark enough for him to hide the fact he's gone beet red. Grinning, he nodded. "Mhm."
After a bit more chit chat, the movie started up. By that time, there were more people in the theater, but still not a lot. And there didn’t seem to be any loud people in there either, which was always a relief to Piper. After a few minutes, she leaned over and rested her head on his shoulder. She didn’t realize what she’d done until she did it, and then she couldn’t pick her head back up because he’d notice. So, she just left it there.
Theo jumped slightly when Piper rested her head on his shoudler, but he made no move to shrug her off. They stayed like that for a few minutes before Theo lay his hand on the armrest between them, aware how cliche it was and yet tempted to do it anyway.
