Ryan just nodded, her heavier boots clicking on the floor of the house. She briefly looked to Cat, then back down to see where she was being led.
Cat led them both upstairs. She walked into the first bedroom to the left. It was fairly big with a bed in the corner and a tv. A duffel bag was thrown onto the bed and almost everything was bare.

Ryan stood in the doorway, letting go of the girl’s hand as she entered. She leaned an arm on the doorframe, watching silently as Cat stumbled in, and turning to leave and sit outside, as to preserve privacy.
Cat rolled her eyes and walked to the window. Stumbling around slightly. It was locked with a child lock. She knew how to pick it but she won’t be blue to until she’s sober. She fell onto her bed. Her shoes and everything still on. She even left the door open.

Ryan turned, moving from the doorway and leaning up against the wall. She let her head drift forward, her arms crossed and her eyes closed. Despite the relaxed position, she kept on high alert, trying to hear or feel any attempt at an escape.
Cat fell asleep pretty fast she curled up into a ball and passed out. Her expression relaxed and calm. (Time skip like an hour ok with you?)
business
(Sure)
Ryan waited outside the door, uncannily still. She moved none, never dozing off either. Although she did keep her eyes closed, arms crossed, and the same stance. It wasn’t until about an hour later she leaned over, looking to see if Cat was still there.
Cat slowly woke up around the same time. She had a pounding headache. And groaned slightly as she stayed laying down.

“Good afternoon,” Ryan said nonchalantly, holding a hand against the door frame. Based on the reaction to waking up, she figured Cat probably didn’t feel any better than before.
Cat opened her eyes to look at her. “You’re Umm something that begins with R. I don’t know hot new girl right?” She mumbled sitting up. She remembered Ryan’s name. She remembered most of earlier. Well at least after coming back to the house. Before that was a bit of a blur.
business
Ryan instinctively tilted her head. Hot? She’d never head that word used to describe herself before.
She nodded, keeping her arms crossed before her.
Cat smirked slightly. It wasn’t really the response she wanted but she clearly affected her slightly. She walked into her en-suite bathroom. She downed some painkillers and pursued her teeth.
business
Ryan gave a sort of noticeable sigh. She didn’t necessarily want to be here making small talk with the gang leader’s little sister. Anything she said could come back around to bite her— or anything she didn’t say. She was walking a sort of tightrope, one that she didn’t want to be on at all. So she just stayed still and where she was. She’d follow orders of keeping an eye on the girl, and nothing more.
Cat leaned on the bathroom door. She smirked and looked Ryan over. "Soooo guess you're stuck with the most important job of babysitter," She teased laughing to herself slightly.
business
“Yes,” Ryan replied, monotone. She normally would have just left it at that, but her curiosity was piqued. “Does Alex normally have people watch you?”
Cats smirk weakened slightly at the mention of her brother but she nodded. “Yep. They are usually a little less serious about it though,” she admits studying Ryan’s face. that is until I run off
business
“Why does he do that?” she asked, tilting her head slightly. “Have people watch you?”
She could give a guess, but would rather hear it from the source. Based on Alex having to ask her to “babysit,” she assumed that Cat was a troublemaker of sorts.
Cat shrugged. “I don’t like it here and For some reason the ass doesn’t want me leaving,” she said smiling. “My turn for a question why are you here? Working for a gang. You look smart enough not to get stuck here.”
business
“It pays,” she mumbled, not necessarily closed off, just not used to giving information. “And it’s decently easy. Not to mention, they wanted me. It was an offer I didn’t mind taking.”
Ryan shifted the weight on her feet, keeping her eyes attuned to Cat.
Cat raised an eyebrow. “Hmm sounds interesting. So want to go eat something before I make my next dating ex cape,” she joked.
business
Ryan nodded, but her thoughts were clearly elsewhere. She let a brief moment pass before she asked, “Do you have any idea of why Alex keeps you here?” This time, her voice actually held a tinge of inquisition.
Cat walked past her and shrugged. She thought for a second thinking about her response carefully. “I don’t know he’s a dick. He likes to say it’s because I’m useful and shit but I know that’s a lie. I’ve definitely cost him more than I’ve made him,” she said half lying. There where other reason and she was pretty sure she knew the real one.
business
“Hmm,” Ryan said with a nod, lingering for a moment before she followed the girl. For Ryan, it seemed like Alex wanting her around would be nice, as opposed to the alternative of him pushing her off. But then again, Ry didn’t know the details, so she couldn’t really make an assumption.
Cat walked downstairs and into the kitchen. There where some members lingering around but they just ignored her. She opened the fridge and took out a beer and a box of pizza.

Ryan followed her down, her footsteps light. Once there, she leaned on one of the counters, doing the least to fulfill what orders she had been given.
The other members payed the both of them no mind, and honestly, Ryan wasn’t a stranger to it. The only person in the gang that had actually payed attention to her was Alex, and it was only because she had been chosen by him to watch his little sister. Other than that, she seemed to have no affiliations at all.
Cat opened the box. “Want a slice or a drink?” She asked.
business
Ryan was about to say no but paused, then nodded. She often didn’t accept offerings from others, but at the moment, she didn’t see why not.
“I’ll take a drink, thank you,” she mumbled.
“Beer?” She asked opening the fridge.
business
“Yes, please,” she said, voice slightly harder than it had previously been.
She took out a beer and tossed it to her before walking back to the table. She sat down and grabbed a cold slice of pizza.
