Appearance: Tall, somewhat thin. A little pale, with dark black hair that seems to absorb mor light than it should, and piercing, bright blue eyes.
Apperal: usually black on black on black, but sometimes mixes it up (especially if he’s with Life)
Sexuality: Pansexual, but usually female-leaning
Personality: painfully awkward, but deeply devoted. Empathetic to a fault, but not easily manipulated. When he cares about something, or someone, he often views it with such seriousness that he feels that he would sacrifice anything for it. Anything.
Other: Rarely feels doubt toward himself, but sometimes he will interact with another god/goddess and afterward starts to feel inadequate. Often compares himself to the other gods and goddesses and wonders if Life could ever see him they way he wants her to.

Personality: Funny, sarcastic, Likes cute things, Sometimes get a 'little' hyper, bites her lip, sometimes she is very serious, being Life she needs to take care of the mortals and plants and animals so she has quite the tender heart, she tries to make everything she can be as balanced as possible.
Other: She has two cats, one is black and one white. The black cats name is Night and the white cat is Snow.

Life’s bright blue curls bounced around her shoulders as she sat on the bench. The sun sat on the horizon as it set, glowing a warm orange. Her head held up as she watched the colors painted in the sky. She sighed happily, soaking in the last of the warm sunlight.
Death walked slowly up the sidewalk. He was free to do as he wished until dawn. He often found himself looking for Life. After a day of bringing the dead to the Underworld, a conversation with Life could always brighten his night. He saw her, on the bench, a smile that never seemed to truely ever fade. She was beautiful in every single sense of the word. He slowed just a bit, as he approached her. “Hello, Life—“ then remembering that they were in public, corrected himself, “I mean, Katherine. May I sit?”
“Of course Zack,” She looked at him and smiled wider. She slid over on the bench so Death could sit down next to her. She tossed the hair on her shoulders onto her back with her hand. “So, hows it going?” She asked.
Death sat, “It’s been like always.” He tried to make his job as easy as possible so he made it sound like it was always the same thing, because after a while, he realized that people will always do some of the same basic behaviors. “What about you? What did you do today?”
“First thing as I normally do every other day, I checked on the gardens. Helping a few plants and insects,” She started. It was her favorite thing to do, and she always found every garden beautiful, no matter how complex or simple. “Then I checked on the mortals, making sure I tipped the scale, if you know what I mean, so that the world didn’t end or one too many mortals died. Then from around early afternoon I checked the oceans and forests, caves and mountains, making sure each life was doing as it should. And now, I’m here. Taking in the last of the sun and the colors of the sky, and talking to you,”

Death appreciated that she included this time with him as something she cared to list in her summary of her day. He nodded, a quick little up-and-down motion, “Good, good. We wouldn’t want to repeat the tragedy of the 14th century.” Although, that was primarily his fault. He may have fallen on the scales…
She nodded. That had not been the highlight of her life. “So then, moving on from responsibilities and the weight of the world and the fact that pretty much the whole universes fate rests in our hands-“ She laughed, the continued. “Let us enjoy the time we have to relax,”
A sheepish grin played on Death’s lips, but it quickly faded back to his usual reserve. He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, letting himself unwind. He looked at Life to see if her eyes were closed. He wanted to see what she looked like in this specific moment, the way the sun was shining, just barely hanging on, her gorgeous sapphire hair lit by the warm rays of dusk, and peace flowing from every way that she carried herself.
She pulled her knees to her chest, resting her head on them. She blinked slowly, eventually slowing her breathing as well. She listened to the leaves of the trees rustle slightly and to her heart beating. It was nice having some time when she didn’t need to rush or panic or . . . Have more to do.
Death could not decided if he wanted to look at her like anyone would look at a masterpiece of art, or the beauty of the dawn: completely taken, unable to ever truely describe the scope of their magnificence. She was everything he was not, and he was amazed by her. Eventually, he looked out at the sky, stars popping into the darkness, breaking it up bit by bit. He closed his eyes and listened to her exsist right beside him. He could say something now, while their both here…but no. He could not. The risk was far too high. So he remained silent.

“It’s beautiful isn’t it?” Life whispered. “How the sky changes, the sun rises and sets. How the stars make shapes in the sky, how peaceful it all is,” She would need to write a poem about this later. “How the sky is like the most beautiful poem, but is also a sad broken heart and a two sided child. A passionate flame, only to become a cool, serene lake. A place of which we can only admire and desire, and only hope we could touch one day and be flooded with satisfaction of having our dreams . . . “
Death made a small sound of agreement, thinking about how right she was. She was his dream, and if he could touch the sky, he could reach his dream, he could reach her. “You say the most beautiful things. Your words match the majesty of the sky.” Honesty seeped I to his words like a thick honey, though he knew that it could prove precarious. Silently, he scolded himself and did his best to brush away the doubts.
“Thank you . . .” She whispered even more quietly than before. She closed her eyes, and started to listen again. This time she listened to Death too, how he existed beside her. She opened her eyes and slid closer to Death, hugging his side.
Death tried not to show that it caught him off guard because he was pleasantly surprised. He leaned into it, accepting this moment as it came. He did not know what it meant; he had never been one to correctly distinguish social cues, not even among the gods. The night was upon them, and he was at peace.
