Wilhelm nodded, beginning to walk away from the table. He let Connor catch up before passing the table itself. "Sure. It holds up well enough to ink, I've found."
Pheasant Brook (O/O with Icarus!)
"Yeah, bu' paint 's thicker, and ink does nae actually stress the paper too much. 's if ah erase and redraw over an' over that'll make it buckle." he replied.
"..Fair enough." Wilhelm nodded. "I don't think I've ever tried any painting on it. Not my strong suit, to be sure. I just do rough ink sketches."
He nodded. "Right. An' like ah said, paper takes ink different than it does paint, an' then it usually takes pencil up to a certain point an' then it buckles because o' stress."
"Sure." Wilhelm rocked on his heels slightly. "I'll give you some paper when we get back."
"Sorry, that was a lot o' information yeh did nae really need." He said, biting his lip a little. "But thanks."
"No, no, it's fine. After all, you listen to my impromptu speeches on plants, so I don't mind that you'd talk about paper." Wilhelm laughed.
He laughed as well. "Right, bu' paper is nae even all that interesting." He replied, shrugging his shoulders.
Wilhelm shook his head. "Less interesting than grass? Come on."
He laughed, ducking his head slightly. "Ah…true." he replied.
He smiled in reply. "Should we go back to the dorm now? The crowd is almost gone." He was right- they were two of maybe 15 people in the dining hall.
Connor blinked. "Oh– sure." He replied, standing up and stretching a little bit.
Wilhelm slipped his hands into his pockets. "Alright, then." He began to walk, waiting for Connor to catch up.
Connor started to follow Wilhelm, catching up after a moment. He walked with his hands by his sides, smiling a little bit.
Wilhelm walked with his hands linked behind his head, moving them from his pockets. "On the topic of paper again.. I can't guarantee that it'll be clean, there might be a few small drawings on there."
He laughed a little. "'s fine. I can either work around them or incorporate them."
"I hope so. I can't say they'll be good, but.." Wilhelm shrugged.
He laughed a little bit. "Ah, alright."
Wilhelm opened the dorm door, immediately going to his nightstand to grab his notebook. "Here it is." He flipped to the back of the notebook, looking for blank pages.
Connor nodded a little bit, plopping down on his bed and kicking his shoes off, rubbing his eyes tiredly.
"Here you go." Wilhelm handed him a few sheets of paper- he was right, multiple of them had small sketches of plants squished into the sides. "Sorry about the.. drawings. Warned you for a reason."
He smiled a little bit. "'s fine, Wil." he replied, looking over at the German boy.
Wilhelm returned his slight smile, sitting down on his bed and kicking off his shoes. He ruffled up his curls, turning his head to look out the window.
Connor put the pages in his sketchbook for later, stretching.
Outside the sky was still light- just another sign that warmer weather was coming. Normally the sun would've been sinking at least a little bit, but it was still high in the sky while Wilhelm looked. Thank God, too, he was getting tired of having to deal with the bland greenery. After all, this meant that the flowers wouldn't be too far behind, and he would kill to be able to see the blooms again.
Connor sighed softly, and got out his homework. "Well. Time for homework." he mumbled, looking over at Wil for a moment.
"…Scheiße." Wilhelm groaned. He'd seemingly forgotten about homework. He pulled his work out from his bag, slowly beginning to work.
Connor grabbed his pencil and started working, sighing softly.
Wilhelm's pen scratched away on his paper as he worked, pushing his curls away from his face as they fell into his face.
Connor stretched, then went back to working, pencil moving over the paper.
