He laughed. "That too, yes." Wilhelm rested his arms on the back of his seat. "I might go sit by the pond."

He nodded. "The pond was pretty." he agreed, eating some more.
"It really is." Wilhelm nodded. "I think it'll be nicer when everything starts to bloom, but that shouldn't be too far away."
He nodded again. "Mhm."
"I think there'll be more animals, everything coming out of hibernation." Wilhelm ran his fingers through his hair. "You know how spring works. I don't think I need to explain it to you, do I?" He laughed a little bit.
"Ah know how spring works, yeh." he replied, looking at Wilhelm.
"Exactly what I thought." He fidgeted with his collar.
He smiled a little, and ate some more.
Wilhelm finished his food, getting up to put away his plate.
He closed his eyes for a moment, still working on his food.
Wilhelm came back after a few minutes, leaning back in his chair.
Connor glanced over.
"I think I have a test today. Damn." Wilhelm muttered, leaning on his arms.
"Ouch. Tha' sucks."
"It's science, though, so I should be alright." Wilhelm picked at the corner of the table.
He laughed a little. "Yeah."
Wilhelm fell quiet again, unable to think up other conversation topics.
He ran a hand through his hair. "So…what do yeh usually do for holidays?"
"I've been going home." He took a sip of his water. "Back to Germany."
He nodded a little bit. "Oh. Is…how is that?" he asked.
"Nice." Wilhelm admitted after a short pause. "It's nice. I get homesick."
Connor nodded a little bit. "Yeah." He replied. "Ah would too, if ah were you." He looked over at the German boy.
"What's that mean?" Wilhelm cocked his head a little. He looked like a slightly confused puppy.
"Be homesick. Ah'd probably be homesick too." If my home was worth going back to.
"Ah." Wilhelm cleared his throat. "I see. Well, my family is the only reason I go back. I love Germany, but.." He trailed off. "It's not doing beautifully. You know this."
He nodded slightly. "Yeah. Ah know. Th' treaty." he replied, looking at Wilhelm. "Ah'm sorry aboot tha'."
"Right." Wilhelm rolled his eyes at the Treaty's mention. Clearly he didn't want to talk about it, also mention it in passing. "You don't have to be sorry. I'm sure it'll get fixed at some point, we can't stay like this forever."
Connor nodded a little bit, knowing that it was his country's fault that Wilhelm's was like this. "Yeah."
Wilhelm shrugged, rolling his shoulders. "Anyway. I'm still excited to see them, and go home."
Connor nodded a little bit. "Yeah. You have…siblings, right? Ah feel like ah remember hearing aboot siblings."
