Connor followed him out, running his fingers through his reddish curls.

"I'm not that hungry, so I might leave early." Wilhelm spoke up. "Sorry."
Connor looked up. "'s fine. I have some reading I wanna do."
"Alright." Wilhelm skipping sitting down when they got into the dining hall, electing instead to just get into line.
Connor got in line behind him, eyes flickering around.
Wilhelm got his plate, going to sit down. He was picking at his food, really.
Connor let out a quiet breath.
He finally began eating, resting on his elbows. Wilhelm set his fork down to rub his eyes and stretch, as well as lean back partially in his chair.
Connor started to eat quietly, lost in his own thoughts.
"…So." Wilhelm spoke up, trying to break the silence between them. "How was your day?" He didn't really know what else to say, he just wanted to start a conversation.
Connor looked up. "Hm? Oh. It was fine, ah suppose." He replied with a shrug.
"Right." He gritted his teeth slightly. The lack of conversation was killing him.
Connor took a deep breath. "So when we go into town…how long are we going to be there?"
"Usually, late morning to late afternoon, early evening." Wilhelm had to ponder over the question for a moment, seeing as he normally didn't think about it. "Most of the day."
"Alright." he replied, nodding. "What do yeh usually do? Because ah know my errands aren't going ta take tha' long."
"Not a lot, honestly." Wilhelm shrugged. "I just drop by a couple shop to look around, then just.. walk around. It's nice to just be off campus for a bit."
Connor nodded a little. "Alright." he replied with a little smile. "Makes sense."
(i'm sorry, my motivation to respond lately has been absolutely abysmal. i can't guarantee my responses will be consistent, and even then, i can't say that they're going to be stellar.)
He hummed softly. "I just like to take an opportunity to stretch my legs. This might be a big campus, but it's stifling."

He nodded a little bit. "Yeah, I understand that." he replied, looking over at Danny.

Wilhelm's alarm chattered away for a few second before the newly awoken boy shut it off. He lay in bed for a few moments, staring silently up at the ceiling.

Connor, as usual, was curled up on his bed, buried beneath the blankets with just the mop of red hair sticking out.
Wilhelm rolled out of bed, checking the time. They had a few hours, but it was still good practice to get up early.
Connor shifted a little bit, still sleeping soundly. How he managed to sleep through the alarm every morning was a mystery.
Wilhelm considered letting Connor sleep in. After all, he had the time to. And then he wouldn't have to deal with Connor's complaints about waking up early.
Connor rolled over onto his back, face tipped up to the ceiling, eyes still closed in sleep.
He walked over to his dresser, pulling out that day's clothes.
Connor shifted again, squirming under the blankets for a moment, then stilled.
WIlhelm was tugging on his shirt when he finally caved, walking over to Connor to wake him up.
