(Sry it's short)
Reva nodded in thanks and started combing through it, cursing quietly when she reached the bigger knots. "Who's waiting for you on land?" She glanced over at him, curious but not wanting to seem overly curious.

After inhaling quietly and exhaling deeply, Jerome answered ever so softly. "My father, the dead captain of this ship, and an old friend. Everytime we visit land I make sure that I visit his grave and update him on the ships status." There was a long pause before he spoke of anything else. "In all just how my life is going as captain."

@gracehustle

(Sry it took me so long to respond, I was sick these last few days)
She went quiet and looked out over the water again, "Sorry about your father," She said softly, finishing with the comb and holding it out for him to take again, "Sometimes I almost wish my father was buried on land, maybe then I could do like you and talk to him."

group

(Its fine, hope your feeling better)
Ever so gently, he grabbed the comb from her hand and put it into his coat pocket. Turning to face the sea, he sighed softly. It wasn't an annoyed, or tired sigh, but a content one. "It was my father's last wish in his entire life to be buried on land, I guess he somehow got tired of the sea." He said in a unsure voice.

Reva nodded, not quite sure of how someone could get sick of the sea, the only place left where there weren't cities or crowds of people everywhere. "What about your mother?" She asked gently, curious but not wanting to pry. The waves hit the side of the ship gently and she just listened to the sound, tuning out everything else.

"A horrible woman to say the least, never wanted me or my sister. I feel that if not for my father, my remains would be at the bottom of the sea." Jerome had no emotion to his face as he said this, not even looking bothered at all. The view was gorgeous with the sun rays bouncing of the sea's waves.

@gracehustle

"Ah," She nodded again and she glanced at him, "I know what that's like." Her fingers drummed against the side of the ship and she watched the rays of sun bounce off the water, content on watching the waves as they lapped against the side of the ship.

(Sorry it's late and short, I had performances for a musical but they're finally done now)
He nodded slowly, enjoying the view he had of the waves. "So you know what it's like not to be wanted by a mother too huh?" He asked in a quiet voice. It was so soft it was barely above a whisper.

@gracehustle

(it's alright!)
Reva looked up at the sky, "Yes, I do. Father too, but I don't talk about that unless I'm completely drunk and rambling," She said, her voice only slightly louder than his had been.

group

"That's understandable, since i've been there. Although, I can't imagine it with two parents." Looking to the sea was oddly soothing to Jerome, it was just something that he couldn't explain with just words. "I guess, that just means you are stronger than most.

@gracehustle

She shook her head and turned to look around the ship, “No, I’m not stronger, but if people believe that than all the better for me.” A small smile made its way onto her face, “It just means more people will stay away from me.”

group

Jerome chuckled and stared at her with amusement. It was interesting how one girl could be like Reva, that's for sure. "You believe that, but not me."" He stood up straight and stretched. "Besides, how are men supposed to stay away from such a beautiful woman?"

@gracehustle

Reva snorted, "The only reason I get this attention is because I'm one of the only women pirates around a bunch of desperate crewmembers, you can't even deny that." She shifted from foot to foot for a moment before standing up straighter and turning so she was leaning back on the edge of the ship.

group

Jerome shrugged and halfway grinned. "Well, I can't argue with that. Although, you're not admired just for your body you know." He said with a sigh. It was a crystal clear day, so the sky reflected off his unnatural silver hair and emerald eyes. One of his problems, you could always tell what he was thinking in the midst of a clear day.

@gracehustle

"Oh? What am I admired for then Captain? My stubbornness?" Her eyes flashed with slight curiosity and amusement at the statement and she leaned away from the edge of the ship, starting to walk in small circles to keep herself busy.

group

"Hm." He took out a dagger and started playing around with it a little, seeming like he was unaware how dangerous it was to just play with it. "As it seems, you are amused aren't you? Well, I think besides the fact it does bewilder most of the men here as to how you can be so stubborn, I think it may be your personality that's so admirable."

@gracehustle

She glanced in his direction as she kept walking, “My personality? What about it?” It really did make her curious of why her personality would be admired. She had only ever been told that she wasn’t like other girls, that she was too cold and unforgiving.

group

"Ah seems she is interested now isn't she?" Jerome had asked more to himself than anything. In fact, it wasn't quite expected on his line of the conversation that she would have been interested. It was like that with most of the woman he talked to anyways. "I think it might be on the fact of how you don't give up, keep going when even in the long run it shows you might not succeed."

@gracehustle

"She is interested," Reva replied, "I didn't know my determination to win pointless battles was an admired trait." Her eyes wandered around the ship before she focused on Jerome, taking the time alone to study him and take note of the features she hadn't noticed before, his green eyes becoming that much more interesting.

group

Jerome noticed her wandering eyes partake in studying his own. He brushed his hair away from his face which seemed to be pointless when it fell back in front of his eyes. It wasn't as bothersome to him as much as it seemed anyways, his eyes were always a self conscious trait of his. "Its admirable pointless or not."

@gracehustle

She shrugged half heartedly as she went back to her pacing, looking away from his eyes before she felt it got awkward, "I'll take your word for it. I don't see what's admirable but if you do, then maybe it is."

group

"We all have our different views on things, but I guess that is something that I find admirable in a way." He said softly with a sigh. Out of habit he randomly started messing with his small dagger again earning a good cut to his hand.

@gracehustle

Reva just nodded in response, her attention already back out on the sea as she looked around for ships or land or anything else besides the endless blue. “So, captain, what else is there to do on this ship besides the work the crew is doing? I’m thoroughly bored of pacing.”

group

Jerome chuckled quietly at her response. Being bored on the ship was not an abnormal thing to occur. “Thats a good question, I guess it depends on what you wanna do. You aren't exactly limited from anything amongst the ship, except for killing and blowing things up at least.“

@gracehustle

"Well then I'm back to square one, I was looking to kill someone," She joked, rolling her eyes, "What is there for books on this ship? reading even sounds like more fun at this point."

group

(Sorry it's been a while! I've been preparing for my trip overseas and it's been hectic! Also, sad to admit, tomorrow is going to be my last day, on notebook, at least for the summer!)
He rolled his eyes and slightly smiled at her. "Well, for books we have all sorts of kinds. Whenever my father pillaged other ships, among the many treasures he took, books were along with it. There are many in my quarters at least."

@gracehustle

(Awwww, alright! I hope you have a great summer and trip!!!)
Reva looked over at him and shrugged, "Guess I'll go read then. Bother me if you need anything." She glanced at him one last time before turning on her heel and walking towards his quarters.

group

(Helloo im backk if this is even still going on lol)
