So, basically the world has magic. There are 6 types if magical beings, with seperate magics. There are many prestigious magic schools, but the Tanama School is by far the best, hosting every single type of magic. With each magical being, there is a special test at the end of the year, working with one person to complete a mission of some sorts to prove that you can use your abilities. Two people are sent together, and would really have worked well together, if they didn't hate each other so much. Or maybe love each other? I don't know. They're like the same thing.
Diviners: There are three kinds of Diviners. Diviners are usually at the top of the power pyramid. They are pretty rare, and tend to be born in positions of power.
- Deity: Energy manipulation, and tend to live longer than normal humans, although only by about 20-50 years.
- Shifter: Shifting into animals, or with animal body parts. Nothing human, though. The closest they can get to human is an ape or chimpanzee.
- Weaver: Seeing the future and visions. So far, there is only one known Weaver in the world left alive, and they are rarely seen, if ever.
Hierarchers: These people are the closest to the Diviners, and provide entertainment. There are three kinds of Hierarchers.
- Athlete: Superhuman strength and endurance, and self-healing.
- Dancer: Hypnotism, but only when they are dancing. Usually women.
- Siren: Voice ability, although it doesn't work on those with an extremely strong will.
Crafters: The next group is the Crafters. They work with the Highers to keep things safe. There are three types of Crafters.
- Blacksmith: Fire manipulation. If there's enough heat in the air, they can even start fires of their own accord.
- Technician: Control technology. Duh. The best type for hackers.
- Weatherman: Controlling and calling the weather.
Soldiers: These are the ones that are often used in wars or patrolling. There are three kinds of Soldiers.
- Captain: Control of emotions, which can be helpful when trying to rile up or calm down a crowd.
- Cavalry: Change the material of their skin, by thinking of someone. For instance, they can change their skin into metal, or fire, and it won't hurt them.
- Navy: Water manipulation. They can't create the water, but can draw it from the air and solidify it.
Commonwealth: These are the most common type of magic users, and do everything that the Soldiers, Highers, Hierarchers and Crafters don't do. Well, mostly. There are three kinds of Commons.
- Farmer: Plant manipulation. They can't create any plants where none are growing, but if there are seeds in the ground, they can grow the plants from these seeds, even if the seeds are dead.
- Runner: Mind reading, and, if they're powerful enough, mind control. Enemies of Weavers.
- Tanner: Can speak to and control animals.
Lowborns: Finally, there are the Lowborns, also known as Lowslum. There are three kinds.
- Mercenary: Blood manipulation. Luckily, there are very few of these, and they tend to be doctors.
- Thief: Turn invisible, and a few things besides them, including, occasionally, a person or two, depending upon the concentration and talent of the Thief.
- Vanisher: Air manipulation. Air pressure, wind, etc.
