Arsen opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling. He groaned. While the sleep had helped, and his eyes no longer felt like they were made of sandpaper, he still had a slight headache. "I need a drink," he grumbled. Standing, he opened his door and looked into the living room area. "Any luck?" He asked Alexa.

Alexa was sitting staring at the ceiling when she heard Arsen leave his room. She looked over at him with an almost dead look to her face, "Nope. I found nothing."

"You look like death," Arsen commented. He moved over to the mini-fridge, opening it and pulling out some grape juice. There was no alcohol in the place, but that was okay. For now.

"I don't feel like death, except my brain died a little," Alexa sighed as she watched him. She honestly needed something to drink as well, but she wasn't going to get up and get something.

"Well, I fail to see the difference." Arsen poured himself a glass. "You want some?" He asked.

"Yes please," Alexa responded looked over at him as she adjusted herself in her seat, "How'd ya sleep?"

"Well, I didn't die in my sleep, so I count that as good." Arsen shrugged, pulling out another glass and pouring her some, before putting the jug back in the fridge.

"Yeah, that's good. Can you diviners do that? Die in your sleep I mean?" Alexa was asking from a curiosity standpoint. Not one trying to mock or tease.

"Ya know, I have no idea. I don't think it's been tested yet. Probably, though." Arsen tilted his head. "I wonder if Weavers can die in their sleep, if they can see it coming."

"Huh, I wonder if they can," Alexa responded as she stood up to get the cup of juice. She took a sip, "What makes diviners be able to die in their sleep anyways? Your powers have nothing to do with sleep anyways."

"Nope. Energy. So, I mean, I suppose we could, if someone stabs us. Or maybe if we're poisoned, I guess. But I've seen some pretty old Diviners, so I guess we can stay old."

"So close to immortal? Jesús that's ridiculous," Alexa shook her head a little. She went and sat on the counter, her natural habitat.

"I mean, we're not invincible, so a bullet can kill us as easy as anyone." Arsen shrugged, taking a drink. "But yeah, we can get pretty old. The oldest Diviner was almost 175."

"Dios, why do you people have such long lives? Don't answer that I don't want to know," Alexa added on quickly taking another drink, "Thieves don't live much longer than, 50 I think, On average at least."

"Is it because you guys get caught?" Arsen asked, throwing the paper cup away. "Because that seems the most likely to me."

"Because our living conditions are typically shit," Alexa responded looking him dead in the eye, "We're on the bottom of the power tier and there's a lot of us, so of course no one cares if we don't live long."

"Eh. There are some pretty famous Theives, though," Arsen said. "You know, ones who use their abilities for good, instead of for self-gain."

"I hope you have some examples for me because I would argue any Thief is a good Thief," Alexa crossed her arms.

"Not all of them are." Arsen shrugged. "Melissa, from school? She's a pervert, and uses her abilities to spy on people while they are taking showers."

"Okay, she doesn't count," Alexa responded after a moment of thought, "Besides, she's still a teen and let's be honest. If you had the power you would do it too."

"No, I wouldn't." Arsen frowned, giving off an air of injured innocence. "I would never do such a thing. It hurts me that you would think that way."

"Sorry," Alexa said after sensing what he was giving off, "But to most that would definitely be something they would do with the power."

Arsen shrugged. "Well, yeah. You would probably do that, wouldn't you?" He teased, smirking slightly.

"Ew no!" Alexa responded quickly shaking her head. She made a little face fo disgust, "I don't want to see strangers naked. Besides I was too busy getting into fights and recovering to bother sneaking into the showers."

"That's what you say," Arsen responded with a wink. "But is it really true? Why were you getting in all those fights, anyway?"

"Why do you think?" Alexa replied looking dead at him, "They kept shitting on me cause I was a thief, they were shitting on me because of my heterochromia, and they were trying to flirt with me to get me into a bed with me. Those are at least 3 reasons I fought with those fuckers."

"No other reasons?" Arsen tilted his head. "And why would they do it because of your heterochromia? I think it's cool."
