Arvil looked at her softly before he turned his attention to the road. When he parked near her apartment, he tilted his head.

“Daisy? C’mon, love,” he murmured gently. “We’re here.”

group

Daisy blinked her eyes open with a soft sound slipping from her lips. She looked over at Arvil sleepily, rubbing her eyes. “What time is it?”

She’s so adorable. Arvil checked the time on his car before humming. “It’s nine,” he replied, getting out of the car to open the passenger door. “C’mon, I’ll carry you.”

group

“Already? It got late,” Daisy muttered, stretching before she opened the door. “I can walk myself. Thanks, though…”

Arvil rolled his eyes, ignoring her words as he slipped his hands under her knees and back again, picking her up. “Told you,” he murmured as he kicked his door shut and locked the car. “I’ll carry you.”

group

“Hey… Arvil,” Daisy huffed, swatting at him lightly. “Put me down. I’ll walk. Really.”

“Oh no, you ignored me earlier, didn’t you?” he grinned wickedly at her as he started to walk into her apartment building. “Consider this your punishment.”

group

Daisy grunted and rubbed at her face sleepily. “Fine. I’m too lazy to actually walk, anyway,” she mumbled.

“My lazy fiancée,” Arvil shook his head in amusement. “Where’re your keys?”

group

“In my purse. I’ll grab them,” Daisy yawned, leaning over to reach for it. She grabbed the bag, then unzipped one of the pockets and pulled her keys out.

Arvil made his way to her apartment, careful to not drop her. Once he was there, he looked at Daisy, silently telling her to unlock the door.

group

Daisy sighed and stretched her arm out to the door, the key just falling short of making it. “You’ve gotta get closer to the door. I can’t reach,” she said, using her free hand to cover her mouth as she yawned.

Arvil chuckled and took a step closer. “Better now, love?” he chuckled. “I didn’t think you act like a child when you’re sleepy, but you come full of surprises.”

group

“Yeah, yeah. I didn’t go to bed early enough last night,” Daisy muttered, sticking the key in the door and unlocking it. “Big project, worked late.”

Once the door was open, Arvil entered, keeping his eyes ahead. “Which one’s your room?”

group

“Down the hall, last door on the left,” Daisy yawned, turning to bury her face in his chest. “You really don’t have to do this.”

Arvil simply shrugged. “I don’t have to,” he agreed, already walking to where she said was her room. “But I want to.”

group

“Are you planning to dress me, too, since you seem to want to do everything for me?” Daisy muttered with her eyes closed, not realizing how that might sound.

Arvil’s eyes shot back to hers, wide with surprise. Did she seriously—you know, if she was like that every time she was sleepy, he wouldn’t mind. At all.

“If you’d like,” he responded with a purr. “I’d be happy to.”

group

When Daisy heard the tone of Arvil’s voice, she was confused for a second. She opened her eyes to peer at him, trying to figure out why he responded that way. When she finally did, her eyes widened as red rushed to her cheeks.

“That— that’s not what I meant!” she stuttered, trying to wriggle our of his arms.

Arvil threw his head back and laughed, tightening his hold on Daisy to prevent her from falling. “Hey, now! I’ll drop you!”

group

“Then put me down,” Daisy breathed, burying her blushing face in her hands. “Oh my gosh…”

“You are so adorable when you’re like this,” Arvil snickered as he entered her room. He set her on the bed, kissing her softly on her hand. She had her face covered, so… “Well, goodnight, lovely.”

group

Daisy grunted in protest, only peeking through her fingers at him after he’d set her down and kissed her head. She sighed and rubbed at her still-pink cheeks with a hand.

“Night, Arvil. I’ll see you later,” she murmured, the one hand still covering half of her face.

“Hey, now,” Arvil knelt by her, tilting his head, trying to get a look at her. He absolutely adored looking at her pink cheeks, and it was rather a shame she was hiding them from him. “Don’t hide your face from me.”

group

Daisy cracked open the eye of the uncovered side of her face and peeked at him. “You’re flustering me. I just wanna sleep, and you’re being mean,” she declared, frowning at him.

“But I want to see your pretty face,” Arvil tilted his head, smiling at her. “Before I go home, I want to see your pretty face one last time. See, it helps me sleep better.”

group

“Stahhhp…” Daisy groaned, hiding her face again. “So mean.”

Arvil chuckled, grabbed her wrists gently and pushed them out of her face. When he saw her red cheeks, he grinned, pressing a tender kiss on her forehead.

“Goodnight, Daisy,” he murmured, letting her go and standing up slowly. “Sleep well.”

group

Daisy’s eyes shot open with a soft gasp when he pulled her hands away and kissed her forehead. She blinked at his retreating form, eyes slightly widened in shock.

“I— Yeah. Yeah, goodnight, Arvil…” she breathed, pressing the back of her hand to her heated cheek. “Lock the front door on your way out, please.”
