He nodded in understanding, closing his eyes and sighing. "What else are we going to do today, then?"

"Well, we could go visit a couple of the other gods, if you wanted to." Halm didn't really care, willing to do whatever Cas wanted to.
"Sure. Anyone you like in particular?" He asked. He didn't want to see any bitchy gods today.
group
"Hm… Marcos is really nice." Marcos was the god of the moon, Celeste's sister. He smiled a little.
"And he won't treat you like Celeste did." He still wasn't happy about how much she looked down on Cas, like he was a pet.
Cas nodded. "We could visit him then, I guess. Should we like, call him beforehand or something to let him know we're coming?"
group
"Yeah. I'll take care of that." Halm set Cas down on the couch gently so he could use both of his hands. He reached up, cupping the soul that hung between his horns and carefully pulled them down. The soul was dim, but it brightened in Halm's hand, and started to float a little. Halm whispered softly to it.
Cas watched him curiously, not entirely sure what he was doing, but intrigued nonetheless. He figured he'd ask about it once Halm seemed to be done so he wouldn't interrupt him.
group
Halm finished whispering to the soul, and it darted off, disappearing into the closet. Halm smiled, watching it, then sat down next to Cas.
"We'll be able to leave once she returns," he said with a smile.
"What did you say to her?" He asked while he watched the soul leave. "Is that how gods communicate with each other?"
group
"I told her to go to Marcos and tell him we're coming over. Yeah, it's a bit old fashioned, but it's how we communicate." Halm smiled, putting his arm around Cas.
Cas leaned against Halm, absorbing his warmth and smiling softly. "It's pretty cool. Can you just use any soul or does it have to be that one?"
group
"I could use any soul, yes," Halm started, "But I trust her the most. She's… been with me a long time." She'd even been with him in life…
Cas nodded. "How long have you known her?" He asked. "Can she be reincarnated or does she just stay?"
group
"I've known her for… hundreds of years. And she could, but she chooses not to." Halm gave a little bittersweet smile at the memory.
"Mm…" Cas closed his eyes. "So is she basically an unofficially claimed soul?"
group
"Basically, yeah," Halm said. "She doesn't want me to actually Claim her, so I don't." Halm put his other arm around Cas, relaxed.
He nodded again. "I guess that makes sense. Does she have a name?" He asked.
group
"Aiko," Halm said. When he said her name, Aiko appeared again, coming over to them. Halm held out his hand, which she floated above.
"Thank you," he said softly, smiling.
Cas looked up at the soul, watching her curiously. He shifted uneasily when his soul started stirring again.
group
Aiko twinkled a little before dimming and floating back down to rest on Halm's palm. He lifted her up, setting her to hang between his horns again. He looked down at Cas, seeing how he shifted.
"You good?" Halm asked. It was easy for him to guess what was happening to Cas again, and it made him worry. His soul was just so eager to leave his body…
Cas nodded weakly, covering his chest with one hand again. He seemed unsettled, but managed to get his soul to lie still again. He didn't really know why this was happening, but it scared him.
group
Halm watched Cas for a moment, then wrapped both arms around him in a hug. He could sense how scared this made Cas. He wished he could help, but there wasn't much even he could do…
Cas huddled close to Halm, sighing. The other's closeness relaxed him a little, but he was still noticeably tense.
group
Halm pulled Cas onto his lap, wanting to comfort him.
"You're gonna be okay," he said softly, wrapping Cas up in his warmth.
"Mm…" Cas buried his face in Halm's chest, trying to relax. His soul had settled again, but he still felt uneasy.
group
Halm rubbed Cas's back softly, wanting to help Cas relax. Still, he figured Cas wouldn't want him poking around his mind like that.
(So uh…just wanna say that ive been low-key stalking this on and off for like…a long time. (i've never followed the thread, i was just reading it when i was bored. And yeah it's entertaining for me, because…well, Swimmy knows why lmao. because it's the same pantheon of gods and stuff and like…Marcos claimed Torin lmao. group
(You kidding? I personally love it when people stalk my rps, cause it means we must be doing something right XD)
(Yay! Lol alright XD)
Halm rubbed Cas's back softly, wanting to help Cas relax. Still, he figured Cas wouldn't want him poking around his mind like that.
It took a few minutes, but Cas eventually managed to relax a bit. He kept his eyes closed and tried not to think.
