Rosetta drove Rika to her house and got out of the car. Her house was nice and big, and the lights were on inside. "My mom should be done with the cookies by now."

Rosetta opened the door and headed inside with Rika. "Mom! I'm home!" She called out as she hung up her keys. "And I brought my friend, Rika!"

"Hello, Rika!" Rosetta's mother called back. "I just made some cookies if you girls want some!"

Rosetta wandered over and ate a couple cookies as well, thanking her mother as she did so. "What do you wanna do after this?" She asked Rika.

"Mm. I'll pass." Rosetta laughed softly and finished her cookie. "Maybe we can play tennis or something. I need to practice."

"Great! I'll go change, then." Rosetta went upstairs to her room and changed quickly, coming back down a couple of minutes. "Alright, let's head out! Do you have a racket of your own or do you want to borrow one?"

"Alright, cool. We've got our own court in the back, so we don't have to drive anywhere." Rosetta headed out the back door.

Rosetta led Rika out to the court and grabbed her racket and a ball. "Are you ready?" She asked.

"Alright!" Rosetta tossed the ball in the air and served it to Rika on the other side of the net.

Rosetta parried with Rika for a while until she scored a point. "Whew!" She ran the back of her hand over her forehead, panting softly. "Do you want to go get a drink?" She asked.

"Alright, let's head in, then." Rosetta set down her racket and headed inside. "We can have some of the lemonade my mom made. What are your parents like?" She asked curiously.

"Oh, that's sad… it's good you've got somebody to take care of you, though." Rosetta hummed thoughtfully to herself as she poured them each a glass of lemonade. "My dad left when I was little. My mom won't tell me why."

Rosetta shrugged a bit. "It's alright. You can't miss something you've never had, right?" She laughed dryly, staring down at the ice clinking in her glass of lemonade. "I don't remember him at all. I was only around three years old when he left."

"Yeah, I know. I'm fine, really. I mean, it's hard without him being there sometimes, but I'm okay." Rosetta shrugged and shied away, quietly sipping at her lemonade.
