Lucas nodded and kept avoiding eye contact, still feeling guilty. "I-I'm sorry…" He finally whispered, staring at the floor.

"Hey, look at me," he asked softly.

Lucas hesitated before turning his eyes up to Nick, his heart pounding.

He placed his hand on Luca's cheek, "It's okay, but the next time you get hurt tell me okay?"

Lucas nodded shakily and hugged Nick, trying not to cry because they didn't have time for that right now.

"Now, let's get to school shall we?" he questioned handing him some clothes.

Lucas nodded and pulled off the other hoodie so he could change. His chest was littered with scars and bruises as well. He fixed the new hoodie so he could put it on easier.

Nick looked over and stared at the scars, "Oh my god…after school, I'm going to talk to you. Nothing bad I just need to."

Lucas whimpered a bit, but nodded again anyways. He quickly changed his pants, hoping to hide the scars and bruises on them too. He moved close to Nick when he was done.

“Ready?” Nick asked grabbing the keys off the counter.

"Yeah…" Lucas followed Nick out to the car and stayed silent the entire ride there, worried about what Nick would do to Kaden and his bunch of morons.

Nick got out the car and walked with Lucas to school. “When do they bully you?”

"There's not really a specific time, necessarily, but it happens most often between classes or before or after school." Lucas stayed close to Nick, feeling anxious.

“You’re with your little body guard today. Mind if I steal him for a bit,” kaden said grabbing Lucas’s arm vilently.

"H-Hey! Let… let me go, I'll do anything you want, just please don't hurt me…" Lucas struggled against Kaden's grip as he was dragged roughly away from Nick.

Nick didn't hesitate to grab him back, "No you may not." Nick pulled him back softly and stood in front of Lucas, "Don't touch him!"

"Oh come on pretty boy don't tell me you are defending this loser. Ha! I can't believe this. Are you testing me?" Nick walked up to Kaden and punched him.

"You come near him again and it'll only get worse for you." Nick snarled than turned back to Lucas. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

Lucas cowered silently behind Nick as Kaden stormed off. He seemed to be trembling a bit and holding his breath, hoping they wouldn't return.

"You alright?" Nick looked worried as he saw him trembling.

"Y-Yeah, I'm…. yeah…" Lucas said quietly, lightly gripping Nick's sleeve.

"Wanna head to class. We're watching a movie in class so you should be fine," Nick reassured.

Lucas nodded and followed Nick to class, using breathing techniques to calm himself down on the way. He sat down beside Nick in the classroom quietly.

(I'll be right back I'm going to take a little nap. I was falling asleep in the middle of my sentence just now XD)

The instructor turned on the movie and Nick sat back in his chair watching the movie and stealing a few glaces at Lucas.

Lucas tapped his foot anxiously, just doodling throughout the entire movie. Drawing calmed him down, usually, so he figured it was worth a try. Once the movie ended, he crumpled up his drawing of Nick, prepared to just throw it away and forget about it.

"What's that your holding?" Nick asked as he stood up ready to walk out.

Lucas snapped out of his daze, a pink tint rising to his cheeks. "It's… it's nothing… just a stupid drawing I'm throwing away."

"Don't throw it out. Can I see?" Nick smirked pointing to the paper.

Lucas hesitated before handing Nick the paper with trembling hands, avoiding eye contact.

"He took the paper lightly and unfolded it. He saw a picture of him smiling. "This is really good! You should show me your drawings more often."
