Nick grinned as he read the note. He tapped his foot impatiently. He waited for the period to end while he smiled like an idiot.

"Stop smiling like that, oh my god." Lucas whispered to Nick. "You're gonna make people suspicious."

"Why, I can't smile because my boyfriend wants to have sex with me," he grinned widder as he whispered.

Lucas hid his red face in his hands. "Nick, stoooop…" He whined quietly.

Nick placed his hand on Lucas’s thigh. “I love you…” he whispered.

(You scared me I was like……wait for a minute…..ooooooooohhhhhhhhhh)

Lucas blushed even harder, glancing up at Nick sheepishly. "I-I love you too…" He whispered.

Nick was going to kiss Lucas, but they would probably get detention or that. Nick focused on the video taking note this time instead of passing notes. Once the video was over class ended. "Did the nurse walk you back?"

"Mhmm." Lucas nodded, walking out with Nick. "And she's telling the principal about the bullying and stuff, so we'll see how that goes."

"Really? Guess the nurse does heal everything…" Nick joked putting his arm around Lucas's shoulder as they walked to the next class. "I'm glad you told her. That was very brave of you."

Lucas nodded silently, leaning into Nick a bit as they walked. "She… she asked why you wanted her to walk me to class, so… I told her."

"Still," Nick kissed the side of his forehead as they walked into class. "This time I'll pay attention to the teacher instead of you."

"You'd better." Lucas scolded him playfully. "Sex is less fun if we both have failing grades."

Nick blushed a light shade of pink and looked away. "Y-Yeah." He sat down at his desk which was next to Lucas's.

Lucas started taking notes when class started, humming something softly to himself.

Once class started Nick moved his foot and crossed it with Lucas's. He did pay attention, but his mind was filled with thoughts about Lucas.

Lucas didn't stop him, though a faint blush rose to his cheeks as he continued scribbling down notes.

The bell rang and it was time for lunch. "Hey, how about we go out for lunch today?"

"Alright." Lucas shrugged. "We'll just have to try to be back before the bell… can we do that?"

"You know it! We should go toooooo…The SPOT. That's a good place. We can order an eat fast too."
"Where do you think you two fags are going?" Dylan cracked his knuckles with a smirk.

Lucas flinched at Dylan's voice and sighed. "What do you want, Dylan? I don't have any money or valuables whatsoever."

"That doesn't matter. I'm here teach you fags a lesson," Two other guys came up behind Dylan. "You shouldn't even know each other. "You're a loser and Nick popular. Why does he even care about your weak ass? Let me answer that for you. He doesn't. He's only using you."
"That's enough Dylan. I would never use someone. Especially if they're the love of my life and make me feel like I matter. He's the only one that doesn't want anything from me and it makes me really happy. I love being around him and I love loving him, it lets me know that he won't leave. So, mind your own buisness and get the hell out of here!"

"I-I… uh…" Lucas stammered quietly. "What he said…" He decided, shuffling close to Nick. He was very tense and clearly uneasy. He didn't feel safe. Dylan and his cronies still looked pissed, which made him even more nervous.

“You think you can take on all three of us?” Dylan tried punching Nick, but Nick catches it.
“Like I said in the locker room you can do whatever you want to me, but you will never touch Lucas. Got it?!”

"Nick, please… I'm not worth it." Lucas said quietly. He flinched when Dylan threw a punch. "Don't get yourself hurt for my sake."

“I’ll do anything for you. You can beat up you have to leave him alone got it?”
“Now that’s a deal. Meet me out back,” Dylan walked away.
Nick let out a heavy sigh.

"Nick, don't! Please don't do that!" Lucas gripped Nick's arm tightly, afraid to let go.

“It’s alright. Wait here, just don’t go in the back okay. I don’t want you to see this. I’ll be back. I love you.” He kissed his forehead before letting go and walking down the hall.

"Nick, I can't let you go alone!" Lucas ran after him, starting to panic. "P-Please! Don't do it!"
