Richard sighed softly. He knew this was true, no matter what he had wanted to do to change that.
"They're only mistake is underestimating you," he said.

Richard sighed softly. He knew this was true, no matter what he had wanted to do to change that.
"They're only mistake is underestimating you," he said.
"Damn right… maybe they'd have actually paid attention to me if they knew I'd become a trained killer."
group
Richard chuckled.
"I think so to."
Scipio was silent for a while. "Was it something I did…?" He asked, more to himself than to anyone else. "I don't remember being a bad kid when it started…"
group
With that, Richard's mother stood and slowly walked over.
"None of it was your fault," She said. Richard nodded in agreement.
"I only started acting up because I wanted attention…" Scipio whispered. "Then he started hurting me…"
group
By now, Richard's mother was sitting down next tothe two boys.
"He didn't know what else to do," Richard said.
"I dunno…" Scipio ran his fingers through his hair anxiously. "I just wanted him to care for once in his life."
group
"I'm sure he did, somewhere it the pits of his soul." Richard was trying his best, but he knew he couldn't fix years of trauma with a few pretty words.
Scipio scoffed. "Ha… what soul? That man was just as bad as me, honestly."
group
"Nah, I say he's worse." Richard shrugged.
"Stupid fuckin' bastard bane of my pointless existence…" Scipio muttered bitterly to himself, huffing.
group
Richard sighed saddly, patting Scipio's knee.
"Your existance is not pointless. Everone has a purpose."
"Mine sure seems to be. What have I done that's at all productive? I just killed a bunch of people, legally, and now I'm stuck in a fucking mirror."
group
"Maybe there's a reason you're here; maybe you're just what this world needs right now." Richard had always hated how Scipio felt like this; this was his chance to try to give his opinion.
"W-Why would the world need me?" Scipio asked, his voice breaking. As much as he hated his emotions and how much he tried to repress them, they were threatening to crush him now.
group
Richard didn't respond immediently.
"Things… things have been getting worse here for years. More and more monsters are appearing, and it's getting harder to hold them back. you could help us…"
"But Merlin doesn't want me here…" Scipio mumbled, his hands shaking. He really just wanted to break something.
group
"He's just afraid you'll kill a reflection." Richard noticed Scipio's hands finally.
"Do you want to go back to my place?" He said quietly.
"That… might be best, unless you want me to destroy your parents' house." Scipio clenched his hands into fists to stop their shaking.
group
Richard nodded, murmuring his goodbyes to his mother as he stood, helping Scipio up.
"Then let's go."
Scipio let Richard lead him out of the house, trembling with pent up emotions and aggression.
group
Finally back to his own house, Richard let go of Scipio.
"To what you need to," he said, motioning to the first floor.
"Thank god." Scipio punched the wall as hard as he could, leaving a hole. He turned around and picked up the arm chair before tossing it. He went on like this until he was just sitting in the middle of a tornado. The couch was flipped, he'd broken the lamp, torn a few pillows, snapped a couple legs off the coffee table, thrown the cushions around the room, and left another hole in the wall for good measure. He was panting, but he seemed more docile now.
group
Richard had retreated to the second floor, and when he heard the carnage stop he slowly made his way down the stairs.
"Better?" he asked.
"A little…" Scipio looked around at the mess he'd made, looking drained.
group
"I'm glad to hear that." Richard picked his way over to Scipio, not seeming to be bothered that his living room was in shambles.
Scipio drew his knees up to his chest and crossed his arms on top, hiding his face in them. He knew Richard was approaching, but he didn't really care.
group
Finally, Richard reached Scipio's side, sitting down next to him.
"You handled yourself well," Richard started.
"I was an idiot for thinking going over was a good idea."
"Mm…" Scipio hardly replied, falling into a nearly silent state. The amount of damage he'd done in such a short amount of time was honestly impressive.
