He stood by the door and smiled at her "Still waiting for you to go first," he said

She smiled back and walked through the door, not exactly sure of where they were heading.
He crossed his arms over his chest and looked at her "do you even know where you're going?" he asked with a smile, stepping over the threshold of the studio door, and towering over her
She shook her head and looked up at him with a grin, "No clue, this seems like the right direction though,' She pointed to the left of them before looking up at him again to see if she was right.
He nodded in agreement and smiled "yes, yes it does." He started walking towards the restaurant "ya comin?"
"Right behind ya," She jogged after him, catching up to him and slowing down so they were walking next to each other.
He looked behind him "she's not coming, good." he sideglanced Scarlet and smiled "so do I get to consider this a date? or a friendly get together with a friend?"

She pretended to think for a moment, matching the smile. "I'd say a date, we are going out to dinner." She looked at the ground and chuckled "I've only ever been on one date besides this one, and that was in high school."

Jasper smiled widely "sucks to be the guy who was dumb enough not to stay with you." They continued to walk for a bit until they reached the restaurant. "Ladies first," he said, opening the door for her
"If it's ladies first, then go ahead," She joked, grinning slightly. Eventually she walked in and looked around, trying to find a place to sit.
"Hey, Lindsey. Table for to please." he greeted the waitress with a smile
" Aw cute, who's your date?" she asked glancing at Scarlet
She smiled "I'm Scarlett, nice to meet you," she said politely, nodding in greeting at Lindsey.
lindsey smiled back "Hi, nice to meet you too, I'm Lindsey, as Jassie said before, I'm his cuter cousin. I'll get your table set up in a few," she walked off to find a table
"Is Jassie your nickname?" She asked, looking up at him "I kinda figure that it is, but I want to make sure."
He nodded "yeah, kinda got stuck with it after the kids started calling me that."
Lindsey came back "all right you two, table 10 is set." she led them to the table
"she's cute, way outta your league." Lindsey whispered to Jasper
"Oh shush," he nudged her gently and laughed
Scarlett sat down and smiled, studying the restaurant and fiddling with the edge of her shirt. "So, what's the best here?"
Lindsey thought for a moment "definitely our ribs and steak combo, the fries are pretty good too and don't even get me started on the shrimp!" she rambled on.
Jasper smiled at his cousin then at Scarlet "she loves food, loves it."
"Then we'll get along great," She said with a light laugh, smiling at Lindsey, "What do you guys have that's spicy?"
"Umm, we got the wings, the BBQ spicy burger with hot fries, onion and pepper soup with bread, spicy nachos…." Linsey named a few other things on the list then stopped "so what'll it be?"
"I'll take shrimp and steak," Jasper said
"Alright, Jassies being boring as usual…and for you?"
She thought for a moment, nodding when she decided "The BBQ spicy burger and hot fries sounds fun," She grinned slightly and nodded again.
"hottest thing we got on the menu, right up!" Lindsey leaned down towards Jasper "I like her, you better keep her, or else…" she threatened
"Don't worry, I'm not planning on leaving her anytime soon."
She blushed slightly, chuckling "I'm right here you guys," She looked around the restaurant and smiled.
they both glanced at her and smiled "no you're good, it's him I'm going to kill if he even thinks of leaving you." Lindsey glared at Jasper with a playful smile and went to get the food
He shook his head and offerd Scarlet a smile "my cousin can be….how to put this nicely….crazy."
"Again, we'll get along great," Scarlett said with a smile, "I'm excited to see how spicy this burger actually is. I was thinking of trying a ghost pepper a few weeks ago, but someone, probably my friend talked me out of it."
"good friend of yours, smart too, those things taste terrible." he smiled as he remember the first time he tried one, he couldn't sing or talk for weeks
She shrugged "I love spicy food so I was excited, it would've been the highlight of my week." She started humming a song to herself as she glanced at him.
"Highlight of the week, right."He laughed "spicy food is an understatement to describe what that thing tastes like."
"Now I want to try it again," She said, laughing slightly "No one's going to talk me out of it this time."
He rolled his eyes "I'm telling you, you're not going to like it." he smiled slightly "I might know a place where we can go to try them."
