Melissa leaned over, kissing him once again. “I love you, too. Mm, I’m gonna take a shower, and then probably head to bed. Did you want one?” She asked softly, starting toward the stairs.

"I can take one after you… or just crash now and shower in the morning." Lucas shrugged.
Melissa nodded just a little. "Right. I'll try my best not to use all the hot water, then." She hummed, starting up the stairs at that.
Lucas headed up to his room and flopped down on the bed with a soft sigh, closing his eyes while he waited.
It was about twenty minutes later when Melissa came and gently knocked on Lucas’s door. “Lu?” She called softly. “The shower is all yours if you’re still up.”
"Mm…" Lucas looked up at Melissa tiredly. "Alright…" He yawned a bit and got to his feet, pulling some clothes out of his bag to change into.
Melissa gave a weak smile, walking over and wrapping her arms around his waist. “I love you…”
"Love you too, Mel…" Lucas kissed Melissa softly and let her hold onto him for a minute.
Melissa leaned against him, head resting against his chest. “Mm… I’m gonna head to bed. I’ll see you in the morning, alright?”
"Alright, love. See you then." Lucas pulled away and kissed Melissa once more before heading off to shower.
Melissa gave a soft smile, heading out and into her room with a soft sigh. She climbed in bed, falling asleep to the sound of the running water.

Lucas was still asleep in the morning when Melissa woke up, seeming to sleep pretty well in an actual bed.
After getting up, Melissa hesitated before pushing his door open. She quietly made her way over to the bed, bending down and gently starting to play with his hair, in attempt to wake him up.
Lucas stirred a bit at the petting and yawned, looking up at Melissa sleepily. "Mmmm… mornin', Mel…"
Melissa smiled softly, kissing his forehead. "Hey, Lu. How'd you sleep?" She asked softly, holding his face.
"Eh… on and off…" Lucas yawned again and closed his eyes, just letting Melissa support his head.
Melissa nodded a little, leaning down to kiss him. "Mmm, well, better than not sleeping at all."
"Yeah, I guess… I'm just lucky I was able to fall asleep again at all…" He sighed.
"I'm really sorry, Lu… I wish I could do something to help." She whispered, yawning some.
"Mm…" Lucas yawned as well and grabbed onto Melissa's hand. "Do you need me for something?"
Melissa shrugged, giving him a soft smile. "Not really. I just wanted to wake you up before it got too late. I've been up for a little while, and got lonely."
Lucas nodded a bit and pulled Melissa closer. "Come cuddle then… I'm still really tired…"
Melissa sighed softly, nodding just a little before laying down next to him. “Mm… I should have let you sleep…” She mumbled, burying her face in his shoulder.
"Mm… it's fine.. " Lucas yawned a bit and tangled himself up with Melissa, far too tired to be flustered.
“You sure?” Melissa asked softly, looking up at him. She slowly ran her fingers through his hair, kissing his forehead.
Lucas nodded and closed his eyes, humming softly to himself when Melissa pet him. "I love you…"
Melissa smiled weakly, scooting closer to him. “I love you, too.” She hummed, kissing him once again.
"Mm…" Lucas relaxed in Melissa's arms and soon drifted back off into a light sleep, a gentle smile lingering on his face.
Melissa sighed weakly, holding onto him. She curled up against him, snuggling up against him until he would wake up again.
Lucas started stirring and whining after about an hour or so, tightening his grip on Melissa and tensing up.
