He passed the finish line and turned to Athan, "you really do suck at this game." He smiled innocently

Athan finished a minute later then handed Ashton 5 dollars.
He handed it back "keep it, I wasn't serious about the bet…or having 5 dollars"

"take the 5 dollars you won."
He waved his hand in refection "seriously, you can keep it,"

"take the ducking money already." Athan said.
he looked surprised "what did you just say?" he asked with a laugh "first off, still no, secondly, ducking? really?"

"there are children present."
He glanced over at the child and smiled grabbing Athan's five dollars and handing it to them "go have fun." Ashton said with a wild smile. He stood back up "happy now?"

"ecstatic"
"good, wouldn't want to make you feel bad," he said patting him on the shoulder before walking over to a pinball machine

Athan got up and followed him over.
(i was thinking of Dave and Buster's arcade, not 90's old fashion ones. Do they have pinball machnes in Dave and Busters?)

"wanna go? maybe you're better at this than Mario Kart." he stepped aside

“Yeah I doubt that”
"try anyways, who knows, maybe you have thing for pinball"

"yeah. Probably not. I've never played."
"Just one round? and if you suck, then I won't ask anymore."

"Fine." Athan walked up to try.
He smiled and stepped aside "so what do you do for a living?"

"Stuff." Athan said as he started playing and slowly failed at it.
"like……?" he looked down at the game and sighed a laugh "is there anything you're good at?"

"Honestly I fail at life….."
"Probably not at life, sinse you're still here….you are still here right?" he poked Athan in the shoulder

"I probably would fail at dying."
"that a good thing then, would want you dying at the wrong time, now would we?" he walked off carelessly around the arcade
