"Rapist dad. Mom died soon after giving birth to me and my twin brother." She sighed and shrugged. "Glad to be away from it all. What about you, if you don't mind me asking."
"Used to be a prostitute," Dawn said shockingly calm, "I met some of the worst assholes there. The worst clients were the ones who just walk into the room and start fucking me, not bother to order a room before they pinned me against a wall and then fucked me, or the ones that forced me to 'enjoy it.'"
She nodded. "Yeah. Men are hell huh?" She said simply. She was pretty used to casual trauma talks. "I mean this in the nicest of ways, but, you sure are pretty. I'm sorry for the way men used you. No respect for sex work. I bet you worked hard." She shook her head and found a place to sit down.
"I didn't have a choice," Dawn responded. She had crossed her arms in order to keep herself from shaking ever so slightly, "It was either I do the dirty work, or I get thrown out onto the streets where I had even more of a chance of getting raped."
She nodded softly. "I'm sorry for that." She said somberly. Her instincts were going wild with this conversation, as the deeper she got the more her ears perked up and swiveled, tail swished, and her eyes scanned back and forth every once in a while. Aware, and ready to fight. She was tense.
Dawn let out a sigh and saw Eve go a little crazy, "It's fine. I'm, I'm over it by now. Are you okay?"
"…Yeah." She took a few breaths, her fists unballing as slowly her instincts calmed down. She just couldn't help it.
Dawn gave a nod and then a half smile, "Don't worry. We all get like that sometimes."
"Anyone I should get to know now?" She asked, looking at Dawn, a little awkward to introduce herself to the other girls.
Dawn looked around, "The other girls in this unit probably. Names are Dusk, Twily, Iridescent, and Ruth. Not telling you who is who. You can figure that out for yourself."
She just sorta stood by Dawn, unsure of who to talk to. They all seemed involved in their own things, she didn't want to disturb anyone.
Dawn gave Eve a light shove grinning, "Well go on, talk to them."
"Fine fine…but you're coming with." She grabbed Dawns hand and walked over to the group, towing her new friend alongside her.
Dawn had a smile on as she walked over to her friends. A girl with dark skin and cloudy blue eyes turned to look from her current conversation, "Um hello?"
"Hey." She gave a shy wave. "I was forced over here by Dawn." She said, displaying to the girl next to her.
The girl nodded and was able to more clearly focus on the new girl. Dawn pushed Eve forward a little bit as the blind girl spoke, "Oh you were? I'm Twily. Who are you?"
"I'm Evelyn." She sat down,her ears flicking back and forth a bit as her tail stirred up dust and dirt on the ground as it swayed.
"It's nice to meet you," Twily responded with a smile. Another girl a bit sturdier built with short red hair, pale skin, and freckles dotting everywhere, "Hey there! Nice to meet ya!"
