Nathaniel was completely out for hours. He hadn't slept properly in months, after all, and his body was catching up on some well needed rest. He awoke again late in the morning, still groggy and weak.

Cerberus was laying on his chest, and she licked his face.
"Mm… where am I…?" Nathaniel asked weakly, glancing around the room. "I don't have a bed…" He sat up a bit, clearly confused.

Cerberus popped into her normal form, sitting up next to him and she cocked her head to the side. "In the Castle, of course!" She said, her smol doggo tail wagging.
Nathaniel cried out in fear when Cerberus suddenly turned changed forms, his wings puffing up and his face paling. "H-How did you do that?? Why did you do that??"

"Because, I did." She smirked, and smiled. "Whats your name? I'm Cerberus!"
"I'm… m-my name is Nathaniel…" He replied weakly, still clearly afraid of Cerberus. "Are you gonna hurt me?"

Cerberus gasped. "HUH?! N-No! Of course not!" She pat his head. "I only hurt sinners, and you're obviously pure." She hummed.
Nathaniel cowered a bit and rubbed at his eyes, looking away meekly. "B-But… they kicked me out. Doesn't that make me bad? A… A s-sinner?"

Cerberus paused, and shook her head. "They were being mean and judgeful." She hissed, her teeth sharpening for one second, then retracting. "You did nothing wrong, Nate. Is it okay if I call you that?" She asked.
Lucifer walked in, with chocolate-chip pancakes and smiled. "Cerbiii- I got some pancakes for you and Nate!" She said, setting the plates down in between them.
Nathaniel looked down at the covers and gripped them tightly, his eyes pooling with tears. "I-I don't— r-really care what you call me, m… m-miss…" He stammered weakly. He closed his eyes, trying to bite back his tears.

Lucifer paused. "Are you okay darling?" She said, sitting next to him and rubbing his back soothingly.

"T-They kicked me out… and… and that means that I'm b-bad… I'm not good enough for them…" Nathaniel sniffled a bit, biting down on his lip.

Lucifer paused, her eyes seeming to have a dark glow. "Who." She growled.
Cerberus yelped. "Calm down."
Nathaniel cowered a bit at Lucifer's anger, holding tighter to the sheets. "U-Uhm… heaven kicked me out… and my parents…" He whispered in reply. "Because… b-because I hurt my wings, and I can't fly anymore, s-so m'not good enough for them…"

Lucifer sighed softly. "Sweetheart, You are better than them." She hummed, hugging him. "I assure you that you are."
A couple of tears rolled down Nathaniel's cheeks when Lucifer hugged him and he closed his eyes, choking back his sobs. "M'not good enough— f-for their army anymore… I've been training my w-whole life…"
