"Well, whichever is fine… just worried that I might fall asleep." He laughed weakly and closed his eyes. "I can't keep up the glamour when I'm asleep, so it could be a problem."

“If we actually planned on going, I’d look at those private airlines, but if we took a human airline, I could glamour your wings when you fell
asleep,” Sol offered. “I retract my wings, so it would be easy for me to glamour yours.”
Joey nodded a bit. "Mm… yeah. I guess that would work." He yawned and sighed. "Do the special ones have extra wing room or no?"
“They do. They’re for non humans,” Sol answered, stretching his wings behind them. “I’ve heard they’re very nice.”
"Sounds nice to me." Joey looked up at the dark sky, humming softly. "It's getting pretty dark… should we head back soon?"
“Yes, I suppose so,” Sol murmured, gazing at Joey softly. “I hope… has this been an okay surprise?”
"Yeah, it was fun!" Joey smiled brightly up at Sol. "We should come back here sometime!"
Sol smiled in relief. “That would be wonderful,” he said, fluttering his wings happily. “Maybe next time you can meet Aster.”
Joey nodded a bit. "Yeah, that would be fun! I guess we should head out now then, huh?"
“Unfortunately, I guess you’re right,” Sol sighed. “I’ve liked this, getting to be here with you.”
"Me too." Joey smiled softly and reluctantly got to his feet, stretching and yawning a bit. "Well, we'd better head out before it gets too dark."
Sol stood up beside Joey and stretched his wings wide before retracting them and pulling on his jacket. He held out a hand to Joey with a fond smile. “Good to go?”
Joey nodded and took Sol's hand, following him closely back to the bike, which he climbed onto the back of. "I'm ready to go whenever."
Sol nodded and got on the bike in front of Joey. Getting back to the city didn’t take long, but it was close to eleven when they arrived.
Joey was nodding off a bit by the time they got back to the city, resting his head on Sol's shoulder as he clung to him. "Mm…"
Chuckling quietly, Sol parked in front of Joey’s building. He hated to move Joey, but they couldn’t stay on the bike forever. “Wake up, estello, we’re here,” he said softly.
Joey whined softly in protest and rubbed at his tired eyes, looking up at the building. "Oh… are we back…?"
“Yeah, sweetheart, sorry to wake you,” Sol murmured apologetically, carefully getting off the bike and turning to steady Joey. “Can I walk you to your door?”
"Mm… sure, if you want to…" Joey yawned and carefully slid off the bike, letting Sol lead him inside. "Thanks for taking me out tonight."
“It was my pleasure,” Sol replied, gently squeezing Joey’s hand as they approached his apartment. “As I said before, I really enjoy spending time with you.”
Joey smiled softly and nodded. "I like spending time with you too… I'll see you soon." He waved a bit as he headed inside.
“See you, Joiexiel,” Sol said, waving back before heading back out to his bike, heart light.
Joey locked the door behind him and headed to bed, falling asleep in his clothes.
(Time skip?)
(yee, when to?)
(Uhhh either to the next day or to something exciting lol. If you've got something in mind, go for it)
(okie dokie!)
hey! how’s your day going?
It had been a few weeks since Sol and Joey had met, and after those first couple days they hadn’t seen each other quite as much, but Sol made a point to text frequently and stop by the shop whenever he could.
It had been long enough, and they had clicked well enough, that Sol had been debating asking Joey on an official date. Krystal had been teasing him relentlessly about it.
“You can charge into battle against hundreds of soldiers, but you can’t ask out a sweet little angel? Really, brother, you need to get it together”
Pretty good, you?
Joey was in the shop as usual, although he'd already organized the books and was dreadfully bored. He was considering popping out for a few minutes to go grab a coffee or something, but he didn't want to leave the shop unattended.
It's super dead at the shop today
Sol smiled at his phone screen.
i’m free right now, i could stop by. do you want anything?
Maybe some coffee, if it isn't too much trouble. Didn't sleep great last night
Joey yawned a bit as he waited for a response from Sol.
