"It's fun though," Nick chuckled while he got the paint off his body and face. He didn't care too much about his hair. so he left it. "Almost done?"
He sighed. "I suppose I'm about as clean as I'm going to be." He handed the sponge back to River.
River put the sponge in the bucket and walked with River back to the Bung. RIver walked straight to the baggage room and changed into dry clothes.
Cas followed suit, changing back into the hoodie and shorts from before. "Can we sleep now?"
"Yeah, you okay Cas?" River looked worried.
"I'm fine. Just tired." Cas walked off and crawled up into River's bunk.
“Okay,” River. Limbed in as well and held Cas close. “Did you have fun today?”
"Eh… kinda hurts more than fun…" Cas huddled close to River for warmth.
“Well, at least you were colorful,” River lightly laughed.
"I'm always colorful. I'm gay." Cas stuck his tongue out a bit, looking very tired.
River softly kissed Cas while he pushed Cas’s tongue in his own mouth. “Keep the tongue in your mouth. Good night love,” he said softly stroking Cas’s hair.
"G'night…" Cas closed his eyes and soon dozed off in River's arms, relaxing when he lost consciousness.
River smiled and soon went to sleep after Cas. Holding him tightly and breathing easy.
Cas was still asleep in the morning when River awoke. There was still some flecks of blue paint standing out from his red hair.
River held Cas’s face softly and smiled. “I love you Cas,” he whispered.
"Mmmm…" Cas whined softly in his sleep, moving his head so he could huddle up against River again.
“Cas~, time to wake up,” River whispered.
"Nooooo…" He whimpered, clutching River's shirt and moving closer to him.
“Fine a little longer. I’ll let you sleep,” River smiled.
"Mm…" Cas mumbled his appreciation and quickly fell asleep again.
River chuckled slightly and stayed awake and playing with Cas’s hair.
Someone slammed the door a few minutes later, startling Cas awake. He gripped River tightly, his heart racing.
“Cas, you okay?” River asked, holding Cas’s hand.
"Y-Yeah, just… don't like loud noises…" He tucked his head under River's chin, entwining their fingers.
“K,” River said softly kissing his forehead.
Cas relaxed a bit after a minute or two, his heart gradually slowing. Though he didn't loosen his grip on River, he seemed generally more calm.
River started to hum softly to a song he knew while he stroked Cas’s hair. The notes were soothing enough for River to fall asleep, but he kept his eyes open.
"Thanks, love…" Cas murmured. "I love you…"
“Your welcome and I love you too my darling,” River smiled and kissed Cas’s lips.
"When do I have to get up?" He asked tiredly, closing his eyes again.
