Someone save me from my boredom
"What the-?!" He tensed up and whipped around, smacking whoever was behind him hard in the face with his sketchpad. Jay had an extreme fight or flight response and his was almost always fight.
"Jeez, don't sneak up on me like that!" He grumbled. "You're lucky I was holding my sketchbook and not the pencil or else you wouldn't have an eye anymore!"
"I like it. Not so sure I would've gone with purple and black since it's kind of typical and it's hard to disguise but that's just the artist in me talking."
"I don't know, seems like a kind of plain color to me. Never understood why so many people like it."
"Scarlet. That kind of red-orange, I really like it. I think it's beautiful."
"Yeah, you could put it that way. I guess I've always just liked sunsets."
"Stars, huh? You really are just like Lydia." He mumbled under his breath.
"No, just kind of sad…" He missed his sister so much it was painful. But there was nothing he could really do about it.
"I wonder if she's even still alive. They'd tell me if my sister was dead, wouldn't they?"
