Spencer smiled a bit at the nickname. He flipped his hand over so that he was holding onto Anya's, rubbing his thumb against the back of her hand.

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked, still holding onto his smile, but his eyes displaying his concern for her.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“Nah, I’ve made my peace with it,” Anya said, relaxing into his touch. “Well, most of it, anyway.”

"Hm. All right. Just know that I'm here for you if you ever need – or just want – to talk about anything, okay?" Spencer declared seriously.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“I know,” Anya smiled. “Thank you. Do you have anything you need to get off your chest?” She gave him a look, trying to say, you can say no, if you want.

Spencer debated about telling Anya about his parents, about his theories on what had really happened, but no one else believes him, so why should she?

He shook his head, smiling back at her. "Nope. Thanks, though."

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

//aww poor Spencer

“I’m here if you need it,” Anya said, not withdrawing her hand. “Anytime.”

(Ikr?)

Spencer gently squeezed Anya's hand.

"Thank you," he said, his voice and eyes soft. "Seriously."

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

Anya smiled somewhat shyly. “Anytime,” she repeated, letting out a shaky breath she didn’t realize she’d been holding.

"Well," Spencer sighed after a moment. "I suppose we should get something to eat. It's been a while since we last ate."

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“That’s probably a good idea.” Anya didn’t want to move from her spot, though, so she didn’t.

(Lol. How is that a fail?
Tbh, you write to well to fail.)

Spencer smiled and stood, still holding Anya's hand. "C'mon, then. Let's go see what we can dig up."

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

//lol thx

Anya smiled. “Works for me.”

Spencer tugged on Anya's hand to get her to stand up. "That means you have to get up, you know," he laughed, making his way around the desk.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“But getting up requires movement. And movement requires coordination, both of which require effort,” Anya complained teasingly, (is that a thing can you do that idk I just made it up,) standing up nonetheless.

(I mean… I think so?)

"To the kitchen!" Spencer declared, sticking his free hand in the air.)

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

//you know what i meant tho right

“Lead the way, monsieur!” Anya smiled.

(Yeah.)

"Oui, madam!" Spencer laughed, placing Anya's hand on his arm as they walked out to the kitchen. Once there, he stopped and looked around. "Now… to find something edible…"

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“That is the real challenge,” Anya agreed.

Spencer hummed his acknowledgment as he scoured the cabinets and fridge and freezer and wherever else food might be, searching for something to eat.

"So… We've got canned peas, canned corn, canned sweet potatoes, canned tuna, canned chicken, and a lot of other canned food," he said as he looked around.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

Anya nodded. “Makes sense. Do we have bread?”

group
@Imperfect_Autumn group

"Uh…" Spencer looked in the cupboards again. "Nope."

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“Well, there goes that idea,” Anya sighed. “Do we have canned peaches?”

group
@Imperfect_Autumn group

"Yup," Spencer took a can out and set it down on the counter. "Do you have a plan?"

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“Nope. I’ve just always liked canned peaches,” Anya smiled, picking up the can and tossing it in her hands.

Spencer chuckled and found a can opener. "Here, have at 'em. There are forks over there," he said, gesturing to a drawer by the sink.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“Thanks,” Anya said, using the can opener and walking over to the drawer to get a fork. “What’re you going to have?”

group
@Imperfect_Autumn group

"Um… I think some of the chicken with carrots. I'll stick it in the microwave for a bit so I'm not just eating luke-warm food," Spencer chuckled.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“Sounds good,” Anya laughed, happily eating peaches.

Spencer grabbed a couple of cans and a plate, then put the food in the microwave for a few minutes.

"So, how're your peaches, Peaches?" he asked Anya, smirking.
